I found this crazy overgrown property with a completely hidden sidewalk in the front yard. I knocked on the door but it was obviously vacant, so I thought I would go ahead and get it cleaned up for the neighborhood. The sidewalk going along the front of the property was so covered in dirt that I had to use my wheelbarrow to shovel it into and haul it away. This took me about 6 hours of shoveling and then I spent another 3 hours mowing down the crazy tall grass. A neighbor did come up to me and told me that the person that used to own this property was put into a nursing home and the city had to eventually declare the home as uninhabitable because it got to the point where it was unsafe for someone to live inside.

Well, I didn’t realize I’d be
walking through a jungle here. There’s some note on
the inside right here. Looks like it got washed off. Well, I think it’s probably abandoned, so we’ll just go ahead
and get it mowed down… Geez, there’s a sidewalk that goes all along the front yard. You can’t even see it. It’s pretty bad. Hey everyone, Spencer here with SB Mowing,
and I saw this grass getting really, really tall and thought I would
check it out just a little bit more. I knocked on the door with no answer, so I spoke with some of the neighbors
and they told me that this house has been abandoned for quite a while. The city has deemed it
completely uninhabitable, and nobody comes by to cut the grass,
but maybe one time a year by the city. So, I thought I would clean it up
and cut it down and make it way better for the neighborhood. But, I really didn’t know what I was
getting myself into because right when I got started, I realized there was a sidewalk
under about a couple inches of dirt, going down the entire
front side of the property. And then I spent about the next eight
hours completely removing all the dirt that was on top of the sidewalk, edging it up with my Maruyama equipment,
and revealing a really wide sidewalk. I had a bunch of neighbors come up to
me and said they had no idea that it was even there and it looks so much better. Also, the neighbor next door came up
and told me a little bit more backstory on this property. The lady that owns this can’t take
care of it because she’s currently in an assisted living home. He didn’t have much more
information other than that, but he is looking to buy the property
from her so that he can maintain it and add a little bit of acreage to his own. So, hopefully that goes through,
but in the meantime, I got this cleaned up and
looking amazing again. So, be sure to stay until the very end
this video because the before and after pictures are absolutely
astonishing on this one. And if you haven’t done so yet, go down below for me and click that

it enables me to just keep doing much, much more. Anyways, I really hope you all enjoyed
this video and I hope you have a great rest of your day, a great rest of your week,
and I’ll see you next Friday… SB Mowing out! Hey everyone, Spencer here real quick,
and welcome to my bathroom. I just want to take a quick second, because I have a super unique
product from Henson Shaving, and I want to tell you a
little bit more about it. This is the AL13 razor, and it’s super unique because
it’s made in an aerospace machine shop with aluminum. And what comes with that is
aerospace standards making this a super high quality razor. But don’t take my word for it,
let me show you a little bit more. So, Henson Shaving actually used
to make Aerospace parts, but because of the pandemic, they were forced to start
making something else. So, they started making these razors. It comes apart just like that. And the safety blade goes right in there. And because aerospace machining
requires such tight tolerances, as I screw this down,
it sets the blade right in there, holds it super securely
in place at a perfect, 30 degree angle, and it only comes out half
the distance of a human hair. I can barely feel it but
let’s put it to the test. Alright guys, I got my beard all lined up,
and this thing gives a super close shave. I can honestly barely even feel it touching
my skin as it glides across. The cool thing is this is a buy
it for life item and if you go to hensonshaving.com/SBMowing or use the code SBMowing, you’ll get a free 100 pack of blades
that will last you a really long time. But anyways, I just want to say thank you to
Henson Shaving for sponsoring this video and supporting my work. Let’s get back to this cleanup. Always got to keep some
line in your pocket. feed it through. even it up. and twist. It’s as easy as that. Thank you, Maruyama… These things are great. All right everybody,
we finally just got done. I hope you like my neck flap. I’ve been getting some sunburn
on my neck even though I’ve been lathering sunscreen on it. So, I’ll be rocking this for a while. But check out this sidewalk. It goes all the way through there. This is the driveway,
so I left it like that. And then it goes all the way over here and it does go through
the neighbor’s yard. But I don’t have time
to do that right now. So, let me know down in the comments if
you guys want me to come back and ask the neighbors if I can dig up their sidewalk all the way down. Or maybe my buddy SB
Pressure washing can do it. But, we got it looking really, really good and the neighbor next door
actually came out after I got done. She said she calls the city about… once a week and they only come out about
one time a year and get this one cut and looking better for the neighborhood. So, I’m glad that I could get
looking better for them, especially this sidewalk. She says she’s never seen it before,
never used it, and she’s really excited. It looks so good. Also, there are a bunch of comments that I
know that I’ll get on this one because I get them on almost every video. So I thought I would just touch on it
right here and that would be just people talking about all the lawn clippings
I’m leaving and not bagging up. Well, let me tell you about it. I’ve been doing lawn care for a little
over a decade and there’s a few reasons why I’m leaving the clippings on this one. First and foremost, it’s probably going to take me about six
more hours to go through this probably two to three acre lot and completely
clean up all the clippings. Next, nobody lives here. They’re not bothering anybody. They’re just going to sit on top of the
grass and they’re going to decompose over the next couple weeks, and honestly,
if you came back here a few weeks later, you would never know
I didn’t pick them up. My bad boy mower does a really
good job at mulching them up and dispersing them up, up. And then usually off camera, I go over the lawn a second time just to
make sure everything’s nice and small. Third reason is that a lot of people say,
oh, it’s not good for the lawn. Actually, it is kind of good for the lawn. It creates a thatch layer to hold in
moisture and as it decomposes it adds nitrogen back into the lawn as just
a natural source of fertilizer. But if somebody did live in this
home and it wasn’t vacant and wasn’t probably going to be knocked down, then I would go ahead and clean them up, mostly just so that they can walk
through their yard and don’t get clippings all over their feet. But this one’s abandoned,
so we’re leaving it at that. We got it looking really, really good,
the neighbors are super happy, I’m really happy with how it turned out,
and I hope you guys are as well. Anyways, if you haven’t done so yet, be sure to go down below and click
that subscribe or follow button for me, it’s really the best way to

me just a little bit further, you can go to sbmowing.com,

Maruyama equipment that you saw me use on this sidewalk. Anyways,
I really hope you all enjoyed this one. I hope you have a great rest of your day,
a great rest of your week, and I’ll see you next Friday. SB Mowing out!

Золотые руки у вас🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
I think it would be super cool if you could do the entire sidewalk. I’m not sure why you didn’t do the sidewalk where you said there was a driveway but that would be nice as well! I’ve be been watching your videos! I’m not really looking forward to getting caught up and have to wait a whole week to watch another one! Awesome job! I’m sure you even motivate neighbors to improve their own yards too!
S.B. be showing us how to be a good person. Thank you, sometimes we all need a reminder.
Be nice if they made a blade for the front of that mower n can push all that dirt up
That water in the gutter looked like there might be a leak somewhere – everywhere else is bone dry?
How i see myself when terraforming in Minecraft
I'm so curious–what is with all of these dilapidated, puny little squat houses situated on these GIANT properties?!?!? How did that happen?
I find it a shame that the neighbors know the owner is in a nursing home and just are not willing to help,if only to make their community a better place, nice work!
Commenters who criticize are welcome to go out and clean up yards their own way.
Thanks!
Just did some quick math. About 25 wheelbarrow’s at 70-80 lbs is damn near a ton (2000 lbs)!! That’s what he’d lift by shovel doing this!!😮seriously. Think about that for a bit.❤
Spencer, you could restore the Great Pyramids of Egypt to their former glory!
Another fantastic job, Spencer!
It has been a year i just watched it, so yes, go back & re-tuch up the yard my brother and I always wounder if people let it go back to Sh☆t 😮😢😢
And i like your other channel as well.
How is the lady Beth doing by the way?
For the crazy thick dirt/grass/hay that covers sidewalks and driveways. Consider getting an attachable plow for your standing mower. I feel bad that you spend hours and energy using the shovel.
Attachment for the lawnmower, a digger scraper? For them pesky footpaths? OOOH?
U sure know how to do a mean walkway.
I just wonder do you sharpen your shovel
Thanks for explaining about the grass clippings being mulch. That should quiet some people. I would definitely want you to go back and do the rest of the sidewalk!!
I was so disappointed when I saw the driveway and the rest of the sidewalk so late in the video, at first I thought "dang, how is he gonna do all of that in the time remaining?" I hope you go back to ask the neighbors and do that huge driveway! Great work as always
