Heya! Today, I went to water my violets that are in a spare bedroom, and I saw that one of the flowers on my Morgan's Declan Duff has bloomed completely purple (it's actually a deep purple color irl, but it looks fuchsia when the sun shines through it, if that makes sense. Is this a bad omen for the future that it is reverting to an old, ancestral (lol) color? Is there anything I can do to ensure the blooms remain the colors they were when I bought the plant? It has survived a really rough two years as my plant friend, and it definitely needs to be potted down now that the other violet in the pot with it has completely died. Could it just be stressed from being so neglected, or is this something that just happens sometimes?
I ask because the violets in the background were once such a pretty flat, light pink. Well, the mother plant was, anyway, but around 2002, the mother plant began blooming fully white, and now the original mother plant and all her babies grow white and purple-tinged, sparkly blooms. I don't want this guy to change permanently. Can anyone suggest anything that will help me keep it the right colors, or do I just have to wait and see what happens because I can't control everything and flowers gonna flower? Lol

I doubt you have anything to worry about. The flowers have that color in them, and for that one flower the white never happened. Try propagating a couple of the leaves from the side of the plant that has the normal flowers and see what happens. Best of Luck.
