I think the white caps look great, especially with the white house and fence. Looks amazing guys❤
Keep the front entrance as you have it, looks perfect. Plant spacing adjustments but otherwise keep it as is. As for us that have high heat and humidity we sweat buckets and be soaked in sweat and drink a lot of water 😂. Just have to wear super breathable clothes or minimal clothes otherwise you’ll get sweat pimples. It’s a trade off for not having to irrigate all the time, I hate having to water😂
The caps look great! The good thing is, if you don’t like the gray after you paint them, you can always repaint them. I personally think black would look fantastic. They would match the gate and the lights, and look really elegant.
What is going to keep those caps from blowing off?.. construction glue!,,,,
About spray painting the Styrofoam. I recall spray painting a sign i think and as I was spraying…the styrofoam was melting…cant remember exactly but test it. Also, you may need to put some weight on to so it dont blow off. Lol, maybe a wrought iron like finial ? Flat bottom…find 2 at your shops. More fun for you and Mom.
My projects always go on and on…lol.
Love the show !
Grass would have looked better in the pots and not the Hydrangea
I like the caps white.
I like the cap white they look nice with the white fencing in the background
Caps look awesome!! Can you tell me the name of the company as we are also looking for caps. Thanks for all the great content.
You need a carpenter to build you wood caps with a finial. Will last longer than foam, and less expensive than stone.
Those pots by the arch are stunning.
Do you need to attach the caps for when you have high winds? The front entry looks great.
Happy fall! Still sweating out late summer here in SoCal zone 10b. I'm so ready for fall!
Adding to my list…a tractor to drive up and help me repot my outdoor pots. 😂🚜
I like those particular caps on the pillars white they match the grout, but another option would be black metal caps.
Gorgeous pots!
Gorgeous pots ❤😊
I thought the caps would be black.
Will your strong winds blow the caps off the pillars?
Move the “ Outhouse “ as far away from gate area as you possibly can!
Honestly thank you for the kudos to those of us in the south with humidity and heat. It’s a struggle!
The mail house is throwing it off for me. Not just the placing but its existence. It just seems unnecessary. Getting a different but more ideal mail box should've sufficed. cost of having a mini custom house built vs larger mail box vs paying for a po box. If you get that much mail or large items they offer large po boxes too. Or even having it mailed to the warehouse address.
If the argument is having to be bothered by the traveling to pickup it up then you could have one of your employees bring it to you. Or get another just for that. Im sure that or a combination of those suggested would still be less than the cost to build the house.
Definitely a wealthy person problem. My broke butt can't wrap my head around it, and surely can't relate. The channel has definitely evolved and become less and less relatable. I still tune in occasionally. Laura's beautiful smile and personality is hard to resist. Dont get me wrong. Im happy for the channel and family. Still love and adore. Just gotten less relatable is all.
You can buy a Rust-Oluem stone spray paint. It’s textured to look a feel like stone. Lots of colours. Personally I would go black to match the gate.
I also like the white caps. Matches the house and its a classic look.
What’s happening with your mail house? Full size homes have taken less time, ordered you extended hose sprayer, awesome!!
I kinda like the caps in black, continues the line with the gates and lights, just my opinion. Ik we all have one. 😂😂
Will you bolt them down in some way? Thinking of all the wind storms you might get.
I like the white caps! I'm with Aaron.
The entrance is so regal. The caps are perfect. The humidity is nothing for this Georgian. lol. The pots are stunning. How you get so many plants in there amazes me. I catch myself setting my plants in my shopping buggie and wondering what Laura would do! lol. Of course mine are not as big as the plants you use, but I think I would make you proud.
The caps are beautiful. I like the white…they pop against the backdrop of the fence. Gray would work, as well, and would hide spots/stains. Spray painting them will be easy.😘
I also vote to paint the caps black matching the gate and lights. I think it would look very elegant. But I tend to lean towards darker colors. Whatever you come up with will look amazing as it always does. Thank you for sharing your knowledge/vision.
When you said Dr. Seuss, that is what I thought! I was like "those are some Cat in the Hat trees!!!
I'm going to go against the grain and suggest that you paint the caps black to blend on with the gates and lights 🤷♀️
Love the caps and I think the white looks gorgeous.
Caps are perfect. Simple. I agree with the white. It’s such a stately look. But if you decide to paint, please research if they can be spray painted as spray paint will dissolve the styrofoam. It’s looking good!!
Another advantage of going “white caps” tying in the fencing and home color would be that caulking to conceal the boboos on the bottom edges-
Looking lovely around there-
I spent over 35 years near Valdosta, GA. 100% humidity. 100+ degrees. No wind. Still. Swampy. Just like a sauna.
Love the directions of the front gate. Maybe stagger the hydrangeas?
I would leave them white or black .
I love your kitties!!! They’re always with you!!!
Yes! MD is crazy humid…. with vampire mosquitoes…
Or paint the caps black.
Glad you nixed the grass. Just didn't feel like it met the look you were developing.
