I swear it was perfectly fine like two days ago, and today I look at it and all the leaves have just died. This really came out of nowhere as far as I can tell. I’ve had it for ~6 months without it changing much at all until now, but I did repot a few weeks ago. Other than that I water roughly every two weeks, or when the soil is completely dry, and I have it under a grow light like all my other plants. I didn’t notice those mushrooms in the corner before, so I’m wondering if they could somehow be the culprit? What happened? Is this salvageable at all?
Adding a before photo for reference.

I think you’ve overwatered. Terracotta breathes better than glazed ceramic. Also every 2 weeks is too often for a zz usually. Once a month is more standard
Definitely overwatered, but definitely didn’t happen in just 2 days
Looks rotted
Does that blue pot have a hole in the bottom? Looks like things got soggy and your roots rotted away
What everyone else said plus how deep did you bury it. You should see some of the rhyzome
There’s mushrooms in the soil which means the soil is rotting because it’s too wet. This definitely means the rhizome is also rotting.
Mushrooms in the soil is simply an indicator that the soil is very moist.
(I didn’t realise ZZ wree succulents??)
In the future make sure you have a pot with drainage and a substrate that is well draining. As some one else said the moisture wicking effects of terracotta is very beneficial to succulents & their indoor survival.
Even though it seems like it happened in 2 days most of the damage has probably been happening since you repotted it. It was all under the dirt/ internal so it didn’t ***show*** until just now but something g like that definitely takes some time to develop.
I’m sorry for your loss friend. Beat of luck In the future.
