my AV is a masochist 😅

i got my plant over a year ago from a local plant store. tbh i didnt know how to take care of AVs, never heard of this plant before. i just saw it and thought they were pretty so i took it home with me 😂

the blooms lasted pretty long, until maybe about 4 months later, they dropped. since then i've been trying to get it to bloom again. researched, watched yt videos, joined this subreddit – anything really!! i feel like i've tried it all but to no avail 🥲 i even sang to it hahaha it's a pretty healthy plant, its leaves grow pretty regularly, so i was at an impasse. i just wanted the pretty flowers again!! 😭

i was giving up, and around two weeks ago i told my roommate "i think i'm gonna throw this plant away i'm tired" (i know, pretty harsh)

only a few days after – i saw a bloom! 😭 LMAO
i figured maybe it liked being degraded?? Lol so i just started cussing at it, and telling it my frustrations about my day and about the plant itself 😂 lo and behold i see little buds growing at the base 😂 i think i'll continue doing this and see what happens lmao just wanted to share bc i am amused 😂
