Okay, check it out. Today we’re going to be trimming some basil. So, as you can see underneath right here, I already trimmed it and it grew more. Cuz if you keep trimming basil, it does grow more. So, what you want to do is you want to look at the top leaves. You want to look underneath the top leaves of where you have another chute. See how it’s producing more leaves here? We want to cut it right here, right above the leaves that it’s producing. Obviously, you’re not going to drop it to the ground like I did, but I have one hand here. So there you go. These are the basil leaves that you can eat. If you let it go um past this, as you can see, there’s little leaves coming up in the middle, but eventually it’s going to flower. And when your plant flowers, it’s going to put all its energy into the flower and therefore produce less leaves. And what you want is you want the basil leaves. So we want to keep cutting basically till we can’t cut anymore. If you want the plant to use, you know, in food, if you want the flower, I mean, you can just trim the leaves from the side, you know, trim them from the side. You don’t have to trim the top because that’s where the flower comes out if you’re trying to reproduce seeds. But again, here we go. Basil coming out right here. As you can see, leaves underneath. We can trim it right here, or we can even trim it down lower. But I’m going to trim down lower because I want all these leaves cuz I’m going to use this today. So, we had another one right here. Check it out. We got the mini leaves, got the big leaves. Trim this guy right here. Bam. There we have it. It’s pretty easy. Here’s another HUD. We’ll do it just one more time. And there we go. There you have it. Trim the basil.
