I’m about two weeks into my compost and this is my first time, so all of the help is appreciated. It’s not smelly, which I’m hearing is good (?), but I have a lot of these little guys hanging around. Are they good? Or is this a sign I’m doing something wrong? Thanks!

Fruit flies. Harmless to you. Okay for compost.
i think what you want most is critters who will eat, digest, and poop your compost back out. granted i’m a first time composter, but i just got fruit flies in my bin and i considered it to be a great sign
Gnats and they bite
