Hi all sorry another question. This is my first year owning this little olive tree, I've read mixed things online about protecting them over winter so I was wondering if anyone had some advice/experience in keeping olive trees in the UK and if I need to bring them inside or wrap them up over the winter months? Thank you in advance!

Where in UK? What’s your zone?
The one that’s been in my garden for almost 20 years has always been in a pot and left outside all year round without protection. It’s fine. It’s grown quite a bit and even fruits sometimes. Olive trees seem to be very hardy, from my experience. My tree is evergreen.

That said, your tree is very young. I think you should bring the tree in and keep it in a sunny room for the first winter. Then replant it in a bigger pot and protect it outside the next winter or the winter after, until it’s acclimatised and big enough to survive on its own.
I own mine for last 8 years and always leave outside. It will loose it’s leaves in the cold months but in the spring it will be back to life. Move it to the bigger pot as it grows.
Move it to a bigger pot. I had mine in one that size and it never produced Olives.
They’re hardy down to like -10°C. They also need to experience the seasons if you want to get olives.
Bigger pot drainage in soil, don’t let it get too wet, so rest the pot on something that let’s the rain run through.
I had my Olive yree like this in pot for years…it was still very small. Now it it is planted in ground (7yrs ago) and its became proper tree. It has olives every year except last year….only one lol.
mine has grown nicely this year. still in a pot. i will be fleecing it soon.
