Looking out from south path toward house, could totally see a white sided outdoor kitchen to match house with swimming pool. When leave house think it could use a function that moves people closer to sit out with dirtland view, with horses one day. Then moving toward south gardens, there could be a straighter path from pool. So walkway could be perpedicular from door of house, then path meets a side pool area with outdoor cabana kitchen. Then do wide patio to road to south garden grass way. Kinda like size of patio with fountain planter that has Hartley in background.
So i have noticed that sometimes annuals come back because they have been covered well with the mulch and/or the temperature wasnโt that bad
What a wonderful tour! Your property is such an inspiration. ๐ค But I just have to ask about your wonderful new shoes. I think I need those in my life!
To replace the limelight primes in the south gardenโWhat about Vanilla Strawberry?? About the same size but the white holds out longer and fades to a rosey pink instead of the LIME! My neighbor has both and the Vanilla Strawberry definitely shines in comparison
Seeing your pole barn with your equipment parked so nicely makes me happy too Laura. There is something about having your big equipment protected that feels so responsible and protective of your investment for years to come. The south garden is amazing! Watching back on the older videos really makes me realize what a vision you two had to make this an amazing landscape! Kudos and well done!
Your garden tours are always so inspiring and a feast for the eyes. Laura and Aaron, I know you both make so many of us better gardeners. Thank you for sharing your dedication to your garden and for your zest for all of the wonderful things in life.

I have to confess I tend to get a little bored with garden tours, but the conversations between you, Laura, and Aaron makes yours so interesting. You both sharing your thought processes and opinions makes it a great garden tour. Beautiful gardens and I so appreciate you sharing your successes and failures with us.
So beautiful! Love the color of the pole barn. Gardens are amazing!
Is the Persimmon Supertunia available yet? I canโt find it online. Itโs beautiful
Thank you!
WHAT KIND OF MULCH DO YOU USE? THNX! โค๐
Laura too many beautiful plants to take note of but donโt have the garden space ๐
Your garden tours are a highlight every season!!! About the lilacs, could that be rust? It's bacterial and affects lilacs in our area (zone 4).
Don't do limelights! I just pulled mine out. They will droop no matter what you do…
Curious how many people actually got Aaron's reference while in the pole barn "there's so much room for activities" ???? I was cackling, I really appreciate your sense of humor โค
Your videos always inspire me to purchase flowers and plant, plant …plant. โค
you passed over every blue thing I wanted to know what it was ugggg
Between yesterday and today, I am particularly drawn to the grasses that you have growing!! I did not see a grass that looked tired or struggling at all!! Would love a Grasses Tour! ๐
Gorgeous gardens!
SPECTACULAR LAUREN!!
I'll just echo all the raves of these tour videos, but want to add how much I love your shoes!! What kind are they?
Hate to say it, but I just had to remove a favorite peony that looked like your lilac leaf. I worked with an extension agent through pictures… it was Tobacco Mosaic Virus… nothing to do but remove it and watch all the plants around it. It's spread by insects or tools and I'm seeing it in other plants already. Double check with someone, but you'll need to act quickly before it gets spread! There are a lot of plants that can be affected by it….
cooper disks inside of the fountain will prevent algae
You should add Luscious Piรฑa Colada lantana! The prettiest soft yellow and white.
Please find out whatโs wrong with the lilacs and how to treat. Id appreciate your Mom and Dadโs advice.
Looking forward to the chitalpa experiment.
We learn with you, and are always inspired in that beautiful garden.
Looks like rust on your lilacs! Had it on my columnar apples and serviceberry.
Where do all the bees live he asks……you should have a few hives on the outskirts of your property and become beekeepers.
I love garden tours. โค๏ธ๐๐
Let me start out by saying, I love your tours! But it would be helpful to me instead of just saying "oh well, don't know what's going on, now I can try something else," you actually got to the root of the issue. Not all of us can just replace something, when it could possibly be saved.
Viruses are THE WORST thing even when it comes to plants, and sadly that was my first thought too. It almost looks like lilac chlorotic virus, and you could definitely have them tested to see. I use Agida personally, I feel like they are very reputable and one of the few companies that tests for viruses in ornamentals
I have the exact same problem with my lilac. It has almost completely defoliated already. I only had 2 blooms last spring. Do you think itโs curable? Zone 7B Belgium.
I have an IDEA for NEXT YEAR garden bed! can you do one space where you use only box store chippest plant starts like 6 or 8 packs they have for 3.49$ or similar annuals ?? Like what we usually do, us, regular gardeners? would be interesting to see, what Laura can do with that, kind of dollar tree gardening challenge. I usually buy 2 or 3 8-packs of vinka, and feel like I'm Laura , like I can do large drifts on a budget. also I never see Laura use those types of plants of annuals they sell in box stores , I know she has better choices and promos to make for PW, but I guess I just want to see what kind of a bed Laura would make with those hippest annuals that everyone has access to! that would be so much fun! and you can do competition with Aron too. Please LIKE THIS COMMENT if you think its a great idea so she can see!
Wonderful tour, thank you. โค Seeing lots of sunny spaces to re-home all the roses, from those shady areas over near the house! ๐โค
