A little background: I got this fiddle leaf fig about 4 years ago. It had a few brown spots, but it grew quickly and seemed to be doing very well. It tripled in height and started growing sideways up top because it reached the ceiling. I never really pruned it or anything, and maybe that's where I went wrong.

Looking at it lately, I think it needs some TLC — probably from not properly pruning it and because I moved last fall, it had a lot of dry air over the winter in the new home, and isn't getting as much sun in its current location.

There are actually two trees in the planter with entwined roots (that's how it came), and the one on the right has a lot of brown spots on its leaves. I am thinking maybe I should just cut my loses on that one and cut it down. As for the other tree that is tall and leaning sideways, the leaves look healthy, but I think it needs some pruning? Can I cut off the top so it's no longer going sideways, and propagate the cutting into a new tree? Then, how can I get it to straighten?

Overall, I'd love any advice and to hear what you'd do to improve the health of my tree!
