I honestly think all of them are great, only thing is about TERRAQUAMAN, he got just 3 corydoras for his paludarium but that’s basically it. What do you guys think? Also I LOVE TANNER SERPA. Also about AntsCanada, is it just me or are his new vids just boring? Was it just me before when I was younger and I enjoyed his videos before or are his new videos really just boring?

Serpa is the best in the business!
TERRAQUAMAN is great as well and he is pretty quick to jump on any short commings when he is told about them. From all the videos and comments I have seen.
You will find a lot of creators end up giving in to the algorithm to get views and money. Which is why I don’t like Dr Plants anymore. Dr Plants has started an entire genre which i personally think is terrible for the hobby. A lot of the clone channels seem to treat their animals and projects as battle royale temporary scenarios.
I’m not familiar with Leafy Street or Alternate Aquatics.
Serpa is my favorite
I like leafy street, he’s funny
Serpa is one of my favorites and I recently determined he’s a local after picking up on his accent (yinz guys).
Leafy Street is new to me but I find him to be very funny
I also like indoor ecosystems
But Tanner is the GOAT
Serpa is just fun to watch. I find his videos very chill and relaxing and he’s one of the creators that inspired me to start keeping bioactive vivariums. His projects are way too involved for me to try and emulate but I’ve picked up a few useful ideas from him, such as the substrate bags for aquariums.
I haven’t watched the other two but I plan to check them out now.
AntsCanada… I was super invested in his rainforest vivarium at the start and binged most of his videos. But I quickly lost interest once he added the treetop and wetlands enclosures. I truly wish I had the money and space to have that kind of enclosure in my house, though.
Serpa is a really cool guy irl too. He comes into a local fish store where I work and remembered me even though we only met once.
I build my own aquarium from scratch following his tutorial DIY, great channel in my opinion.
if I say how cool Serpa is I’d start sounding repetitive, he’s definitely the king of the hobby for me, he helped with terrariums and isópodos set ups. Leafy’s content is entertaining and informative and Alternate Aquatics helped to start an orange springtails colony so they’re all good creators
Serpa is the best there is. Watching his backyard pond build front to back is like a very relaxing documentary. He doesn’t overhype stuff because his stuff is just awesome as is. Shows you every step of his process, admits his mistakes to help us all learn and genuinely cares about nature and wildlife.
I love Tanner. I love that he shares his process (including mistakes), and I love that he prioritizes the animals he already has by improving their homes rather than buying new ones endlessly for more content.
LOVE serpadesign, I’ve been subscribed to him for years and he was my inspiration for getting into this hobby. I do also watch terraquaman and alternateaquatics occasionally.
I really like Serpa, Terraquaman, and Leafy Street. Homemade Ecosystems is another good one to check out if you like inverts and dry European humor lol
Serpa is a legend and would belong on the vivarium mount rushmore if that was a thing
@homemadeecosystems on YT is another some may like. He doesn’t do anything fancy or complex, just shares his passion for animals and terrariums with very blunt and silly humour
❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Serpa is the only reptile YouTuber I still watch. The rest of them all seem to give into the algorithm after a while and their care starts to slip.
Serpa makes what I refer to as YouTube vivariums.
Most of what he does is not good husbandry, and misleading for the people who don’t know that.
I’ve never met him, but making vivarium content to go viral and take advantage of the algorithm and trends as a full time job is no easy feat.
He is a creative and talented guy for sure.
AntsCanada, incredibly well done content, then started taking his shirt off? I’m not a fan of his most recent project mixing and the information isn’t the most accurate at times.
I think Troy Goldberg’s tropical garage is some of the best content out there personally. He’s straightforward and a talented artist and pragmatist.
While not vivarium, keeping fish simple is a great channel that shows how people do things in reality compared to over produced YouTube content.
Come for the beautiful builds, stay for the beautiful yinzer accent
I love Serpa! He’s what got me into this hobby like 10? yrs ago with his fishtank to vertical vivarium conversions.
I love Tanners videos and also his voice is really soothing!
Tanner at Serpa is who inspired my son and I to get into amphibians! He’s the greatest, a true gem.
Tanner Serpa rescued me from a burning building one time, and got my dog out from the old well another time. Such an awesome guy
Serpa did that one video of his pond and the year of everything that happened after it was built. Beautiful how everything came to be and seeing how life just kind of started to grow out of the water from frogs to birds to deer, even fish which wasn’t even the focal point. Just awesome dude who showed something incredible.
Serpa is solid for the build in terms of foundations , but I recommend other outlets like Nigel Saunders for more artistic perspectives on things.
Then again, I’m more the type to shoot for a bonsai vivarium, so do with that what you will.
I don’t know the others but I LOVE serpa, he’s informative, entertaining, and well educated. His care and love for his animals is evident in every video and it’s obvious he wants to share that love with the rest of YouTube. If the other guys in this list are anything like Serpa then I may have found some new channels to hard fixate on lol
Tanner is legit. His videos are informative and he doesn’t shy away from showing his mistakes and how to improve.
He is good and reputable. He also reasearches woth back up on his knowledge with others involved with ponds, vivariums, reptiles, amphibians, aquascapes, aquariums, etc. He also builds his own vivariums for years. Highly recommend him.
Sherpa is so amazing. He does projects I want to do but don’t have the time for. Very ambitious!
Tanners the best animal , terrarium/paludarium YouTuber. He actually cares for his animals , unlike a few on there that hoard animals for content reasons
I watch a lot of viv/aquarium YouTubers so I recognize some of these
I’ll skip serpa because the other comments have done tanner enough justice.
I quite like dr plants, he’s got a different style of viv/aquarium making which i find to be great to watch. I like the video with the hamster. It made me realize i had never actually seen a hamster in a natural environment before and is what finally broke my mind out of the idea of the “normal” hamster set up. It had never crossed my mind that my terrariums could extend to mammals too and not just herps. I’m shopping around now for a 6ft or bigger enclosure to set up a massive native viv for a hamster.
I’d also recommend smallscaletales if you like his type of content, small-scale does the whole simulating thing the best while also telling a story, his artistry is incredible. One of the creators I drop everything for if they drop a new video.
I love leafy street! His videos don’t feel like a big production and feel more like hanging out with a friend who shares your hobby. Giving regular updates about what they’re working on and sharing their excitement with you. Most of his videos feel like a video call with my friends lol
Picocosmos is a new one ive started watching but I love his videos so far. He does aquariums for things like fairy shrimp and brine shrimp with stunning macro videos and microscope shots
Tanner is a national treasure.
Serpa is so down to earth. I like his videos.
Love him!
I love Serpa and Terraquaman
Amazing

I absolutely love Tanner’s videos, the literal only thing that drives me nut though is how often he says “accordingly” and “lock it in.” 😂 It’s soooo minor it’s never stopped me from watching, but it makes my head wanna explode, but that’s likely just my own obsessionally and attention to detail. I kinda doubt anyone else even notices.
I don’t watch his videos because his thumbnails are too good and it stresses me out that my work will never be as good. lol I know it’s stupid I’m sure his videos are lovely 🥲
I did watch one video he did though about his bearded dragon, and got a very good impression of Tanner. He seemed like a sweetheart! I had found a bearded dragon at a local park the day I watched that video
Antscanada is my kiddo’s animal planet. We love watching them at dinner, since he’s calm enough to learn from, but goofy enough to keep their focus. I’m more into serpa for my own design mind, but the little dude is always excited about him as well!
Serpa is absolutely awesome his realism is a goal of mine for my setups
