Looking for a scenic escape without leaving the city? According to HGTV, you’ll find it in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.
The network has just released its list of the most beautiful public gardens in every state, and Georgia’s top spot goes to the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
Located next to Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta, this 30-acre garden is a peaceful green space in the middle of the city.
What’s at the Atlanta Botanical Garden?
Founded in 1976, the Atlanta Botanical Garden has become a cornerstone of the city’s cultural and natural beauty.
Visitors can walk through colorful plant displays, explore art installations, and enjoy views of the city skyline.
“Urban nature reaches new heights at this 30-acre downtown refuge, where visitors can stroll among the treetops on the Storza Woods canopy walk,” HGTV wrote. “The garden’s Earth Goddess sculpture—a 25-foot living plant installation—has become Atlanta’s most photographed green icon.”
