    It’s moss. I couldn’t tell you what kind specifically, but it doesn’t bode well for the windowsill.

    Some types of moss transplant really well. Try to peel that bad boy off in a sheet and then put it somewhere you want moss. Make sure it is soaking wet when you transplant, and press it down really firmly onto its new location. If it lives, great. If it doesn’t, oh well
