A seating area outside a Wetherspoon pub was cordoned off following an assault. Merseyside Police were called to the Barker’s Brewery on Archway Road in Huyton shortly before 4pm today, September 1.
An incident manager from the force said a person was assaulted during a brawl, but it is currently unclear how many people were involved as both suspects and the victim “made off” from the scene.
It is believed the victim suffered facial injuries during the assault, although this has not been confirmed. Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing, police said.
A cordon remains in place around the seating area outside the pub this evening, but the pub remains open as usual. Photos taken by the ECHO show a police car parked in front of the pub, beside the cordon.
