I got a message from somebody asking if I could come check out their neighbors house. So, I hopped in my truck and headed over to see what was going on. Immediately, I saw some crazy overgrown grass and the neighbor next door was outside, so I thought I would see what was going on. He told me that the owners passed away and someone was going to fix up the house but there was too much mold. He used to maintain the grass until it got too bad and he went though a ton of lawn mower blades because there are hidden stumps throughout. So, I thought I would get it looking better for the neighborhood and spent the entire day on it.

I got a message from a neighbor
just saying it was overgrown. I take care of these for free. Like, overgrown yards. Do you know the owner of it? So the owners are dead. There’s been A A guy and a girl come
over and they came over, looked at it,
and there’s like some mold on the inside. They’re supposed to, like, do everything and they’re like, well,
we’re not doing the house so. Well,
when’s the last time the yard was cut? Oh, dude, it’s been a year. I used to mow it when they were here,
but there was, there was so many stumps and stuff. And they would wait and let
it get so tall that I’m like But I went through quite
a few blades on my rider. I mean, I would have cut it,
you know, had I known they were going
to let it go this long, But at this point, I’m like,
you know, I wish somebody would do something to it. I’m not asking you or anything like that,
but I’m saying. I think I’m gonna stop by
to kind of clean it up. That’d be awesome, man. Yep. Nice to meet you. Hey everyone, Spencer here with SB Mowing, and I got a message from somebody in this
neighborhood giving me a tip off of this address that is just extremely overgrown. So once I saw it, I immediately hopped in my
truck and headed over there to see what was going on. Luckily, when I got there, the next door neighbor was having a
pool party in his backyard so I got to talk to him for a little bit to get
some more information on the home. It turns out the homeowners died
and the kids weren’t able to keep up with the mortgage, so the bank took over the home. And they’ve had it for a while and can’t
do much with it because it’s filled with mold on the inside because
the basement completely flooded. So it’s just been sitting here and
it’s been over a year since somebody’s come by to cut the grass. So I thought I would spend the day
getting it cleaned up for the neighborhood and it looked amazing afterwards. It was this huge yard
with really tall grass, and once I got it cut down,
it looked really, really good, so be sure to stay till the very

we just got finished up. We got this front walkway cleaned up,
the whole front entryway, and then this massive yard we got cleaned up. I’m going to bring you all
around to the back here because there was some poison ivy,
and when I say some, I mean it was completely
covered by poison ivy that I just decided not to do. We also got along this deck, cleaned up. We kind of made it accessible again,
cut down some of those volunteer trees. Yeah, look what I’m talking about. Pretty much all this light green stuff… is all poison ivy,
so we’re not going to touch that. But we got the backyard looking amazing. We got the front yard looking amazing
and the neighbors have been super happy. There were a couple boys over next door around probably 12
or 13 years old that recognized me. And were just super happy that I was
cleaning up the house next to them. But I just want to thank you all for

Why would someone let the bank take the property instead of selling it? That's a nice piece of land, especially after Spencer cleaned it up.
Too late now but the heirs could have sold half of that huge property for someone else that build on. The sale would have given them enough money to pay the taxes and maybe even enough to address the mold issue. Such a shame. But great job as always, Spencer. And it’s wonderful that the neighbor kids like your videos. You are a wonderful role model.

What a beautiful property and huge lot. It's just awful about the cellar being flooded and black mold it makes the home uninhabitable. You did a fantastic job making it have some dignity once again. You're a very kind man to do all of this for free. I'm sure the neighbors appreciate seeing the house looking beautiful again, at least for awhile.
Nice property, shame it's in the hands of the bank, it'll sit there and rot until they want it off their books. I agree with others the bank needs to keep at least the yard tended too.

That house looks very 1970s in design
I think when a property is taken over by a bank or city a sign should be placed out front as to the owner. Then the neighborhood knows who to complain to and who is now delinquent in up keep.
hey i would love to work with him ive had to do lots of grass cutting and stuff he dose and i would work with him for free i have my own mower weedeater and blower i wanna work with him so i can get more experience because i wanna start my own mowing/landscaping business please help me get ahold of him
If the bank took it over, why is the bank not then responsible for at the very least maintaining the grounds? It makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever, that they just leave houses abandoned. Get someone in to fix the mould issue and sell the joint. Or knock down the house and sell the land. It’s not rocket science!
Edit: A property that size is not the responsibility of the neighbour. You could see how guilty he felt about not having kept up with it. But it’s not his problem on a full time basis. Sure it’s nice to things once in a while for someone else but this property is humongous. No wonder he tired of doing it
