right, i could be wrong, but it looks like it’s either breaking as it’s a new leaf, do you try and take the leaves out of their sheaths, or some critter is eating the leaves again in the leaf sheath – side note leaf sheath if fun to say lol

Mine has basically the exact same but had it when I bought it already.. its got a slight brown crispiness on a few of the ‘eaten’ edges which makes me wonder if that chunk that’s missing was crispy brown and its just eroded away but if yours has literally just appeared over night then I’m not sure!

Just because im on the tail end of a battle, and leaves were coming out like this, check for thrips 😅

This happens to me when i fertilize my pothos plants in the right moment a leaf is just about to pop. If the leaf is already out but still closed, it will have no damage, but if it is still attached completely to the previous leaf, I often get this issue, which is why I learned to fertilize only when I don’t have leaves in that status I mentioned. Could be that?

I’m going to ask a stupid question. Do you have a cat? My philo Brasil has a similar damaged leaf but I suspect the pest is felis domesticus.
