With the arrival of autumn comes thoughts of getting their home’s outside space tidied up in time for winter for many people – and this season is surely the untidiest of all.
Leaves from trees and shrubs shedding can become a nuisance, blocking drains, preventing grass growth and potentially affecting its health and becoming a slip hazard for humans are all good reasons to get the fallen foliage under control.

The product, which has been bought over 200 times in the last month on the retailer’s website and has over 600 positive customer reviews including one buyer who happily shares: “This is, simply, the best leaf vacuum I’ve had (based on 4 previous brands) – this is the best one by miles.”
They go on to say: “This one is super-powerful – dealing with compressed bundles of wet leaves with ease. It is great to handle – not heavy and glides along the gravel etc. The variable speed means it can be set to not pick up stones etc. I sucked up some polythene by mistake but the metal blades shredded that too so no need to unblock.”

Bosch state that their leaf blower and vacuum is ‘a 3-in-1 tool that allows blowing, vacuuming and shredding leaves and garden debris, providing reduced sound and noise level up to 75% of 99dB (A). Users can ‘simply and quickly switch between modes, tool-free, with quick-release mechanism’ and the product is ‘easy to clean and empty including a quick-release collection bag features moisture-repellent Dirt Deflectors’ and comes with a shoulder strap.
The joy from one buyer is evident in their review, with them saying: “What a machine! Just used it for the first time and hoovered up all the leaves from my front and back gardens, from the flower beds, the paths, and from my gravel edging. A job that would normally take a weekend by hand (and a sore back) was done in a couple of hours. Fantastic!”

Another reviewer was equally as thrilled, saying: “Brilliant bit of kit. Super long lead so no need for an extension lead. Really strong suction, it actually sticks to the ground on full power. Really well made so hopefully it’ll last a lifetime with no messing around charging batteries.”
A few negative comments seem to concentrate mainly around the weight for some and assembly for others, with one buyer saying: “Too heavy, cumbersome and messy” while another adds: “Like many others the assembly from the pictures was not the easiest thing to do and I am a retired mechanical engineer! The diagrams in the user manual were a bit clearer.”

One customer offers a constructive insight into a few scenarios a buyer might experience with the Bosch, and potentially any brand of leaf blower, saying: “The main hose comes in three parts and fit together very tightly. So tightly in fact that it took a fair bit of effort to assemble it, so bear that in mind if you are not very strong. The bag – though made of good material – will inevitably burst at some point. To be expected given the power involved and the sharp contents.”
After the tidy up into piles it’s time to get removing, and for one buyer they cannot contain their excitement at this part of the process using the Bosch Electric Leaf Blower and Vacuum Universal Garden Tidy, saying: “Boom. It’s vacuum time. The handy blender thing inside turns all the chaff to small bite-size pieces too meaning you can fire more into the garden waste bins! Honestly I love this thing.
