Hello! This is my first time sprouting anything and I am at the end of day 4 of following this tutorial: https://youtu.be/fqXUVFB6PHU?si=958kX5tKiLti_ZP-
I added the germinated seeds to my sprouting tray (with 2 inches of water at the bottom of the tray) last night. And I did work a 12 hr shift today, left the tray in the dark (0 hours of light/followed the instructions in the video) and turned off the AC from 0640–1930. I’m in SoCal and it was 80-90F today.
Can someone please tell me if this is unsafe/dangerous mold that will harm my cat if she eats it, or if this white fuzzy stuff is just the roots of the cat grass?
Thank you so much for your help!!

It’s not mold. It’s root hairs.
It should be taller and greener. Needs more sunlight. I dont see any mold.
As another commenter said- those are root hairs, not mold.
