Fairy update in Grow a Garden

The Fairy update in Grow a Garden introduces the Fairy event, where you’ll have to bring plants with the Glimmering mutation to the Fountain to earn rewards. Additionally, Grow a Garden now has a long-awaited ascension system alongside an NPC friendship system with Sam the Seed Shop NPC that allows you to unlock exclusive plants.

The update also brings plenty of new plants, pets (and a new egg!), and Fairy event-themed items.

Fairy update in Grow a Garden

The Fairy update largely revolves around the new Fairy event located in the center of the map. In this event, you’ll collect plants with the Glimmering mutation and submit them to the Fountain. As you submit plants, you’ll earn Fairy Points, which can be exchanged for event upgrades by speaking to the Fairy Godmother. Additionally, when you fill up the Fountain Power meter (either by submitting a bunch of random Glimmering plants or the one requested Glimmering plant), you’ll earn a Wish, which can be exchanged for one of three rewards randomly chosen from a pool that depends on your rewards tier.

While the Fairy event doesn’t include a new shop, it does include random rewards that you can earn by filling up the Fountain Power meter to earn Wishes.

Ascension explained in Grow a Garden

Grow a Garden’s latest update introduces a long-awaited ascension system, but it comes with a high cost. Once you’ve earned 1 trillion scheckles, you can choose to ascend by talking to the ascension NPC located in the corner of the map (near the Sell shop). He’ll request all of your scheckles as well as a few rare fruits with certain mutations. Losing all your scheckles is a big price to pay, but by ascending, you’ll earn 10 Garden Coins. These can be spent on upgrades like egg, plant, and pet inventory capacity upgrades as well as new save slots. Additionally, Garden Coins can be used in the Seed Shop’s brand new Friendship tab, where you can get exclusive seeds like Cocomangos and Brussels Sprouts.

Seed Friendship Shop explained in Grow a Garden

The Fairy update also brings a brand new shop to the game, and it’s tied to the ascension system. Every 24 hours, you can feed cooked food to Sam (the Seed Shop NPC) to increase his friendship level. Once you’ve reached Level 2, you’ll unlock a new tab in the shop. Here, you can exchange Garden Coins earned by ascending to get four seeds: Cocomango, Brussels Sprout, Potato, and Broccoli.
