I will add – there is no telling what the root systems look like either. I was burned last PlantCon by unknowingly buying Hoyas that were completely unrooted (which the seller did not disclose)

I want to know how much that polka dot begonia is going for, because I have like three of those that I’ve propagated 😅.

So like… hear me out… a PlantCon super villain just shows up and confetti cannons thrips everywhere.

Plantcon strikes me as a big circlejerk for “plantfluencers”

I’m from Florida and seeing Philos and Monsteras out there for hundreds of dollars fries me because what do you mean I had to cut a TREE DOWN for a philo just to save the house lmfao

Honestly that’s in line with the unicorn plant prices I see on Palmstreet. I don’t see them sell very frequently, but they do sell. They’re for hardcore collectors of extremely rare plants, not us regular house plant fans. 😅

They’re out of their minds for $7000.

All that money for an alocasia that’s gonna get spider mites the moment it’s home

Wow, most of those expensive plants look like garbage.
