So my wife brought her plants indoors and we have a new lighter paint to reflect the light more (original was dark gray). This is her third year of taking the hobby seriously. It all started with a little rubber tree I bought off Amazon and she caught the bug. I do minimal care. It’s all her. Thoughts or constructive criticism would be appreciated.

No criticism whatsoever just deep jealousy! That’s a beautiful looking set up.

The number one problem I see here is that there is still some empty space (it’s there, look harder) and not enough plants. It’s time to go shopping people!

I think you guys need a desert crown of thorns in that succulent section. Everything looks happy. 🙂

I spray with soapy water when I bring em in for fall – sometimes I’m bringing the odd bug in

Beautiful, but my cat would have a field day!

I think its so cute and organized

Such a beautiful space. My only criticism would be some of those plants need to be out of the cats reach for safety. Pothos as an example are pretty toxic if ingested.

I need to bring mine in soon but no part of my house gets sunlight like this.

That’s a great setup and I’m jealous. Does kitty bother the plants or no?

Beautiful! I wish mine looked that good

I’d be worried about them getting enough light, especially the ones away from the window. It can look very bright to us but plants sometimes don’t agree. I’d just watch for etoliation (stretching towards light); could be pretty simple to rig some supplemental lighting to keep them as lush as they are now!

And ditto the other poster about bugs. Sometimes folks will quarantine plants they bring in to make sure they’re not also bringing uninvited guests. I’m not a pre-emptive sprayer, but I’d definitely keep monitoring for pest sign.

Other than the notes of caution— looks incredible! An indoor jungle sure makes the winter less grey.

Love the overall natural peaceful look with bamboo shelving. Where did you find?

Grow lights under the TV across the mantle. They make full uv ones now that are soft white looking and won’t clash, too much

I’m dreading this lol, about another month before I’ll have too. Especially after I moved plants outside and then decided I had enough room to then buy more plants

How does she keep the kitty away?

  26. SmutWithClass

Can not believe you have all this and a cat

Looks great!! I would just like to throw it out there that sago palms are highly toxic to cats and dogs and as someone in the veterinary field I would never keep one on my property let alone in my home. I see you have at least a kitty (very cute!).. All parts of the plant are toxic including the seeds, leaves, and bark. Even if they don’t normally get into the plants, all it takes is one seed or leaf dropping on the ground that they pick up and they could be ill or worse.
