I had to cut a hole out of my lattice above because they kept growing. Lol the highest I ever got them before was about 6ft. Right now the 1 is over 10ft. Everyone having a good year? I am in Southern Ontario.
I’m in the NW of England and this year I changed two things: I stopped pinching back the growth under the leaves (i.e. I let the plant grow naturally with no intervention) and I fed them regularly. I have 18 plants, the tallest of which are now pushing 275 CM (nine feet). They are tied up with an increasingly Rube Goldberg-ish series of strings and elastics. Here’s a pic from a couple of weeks ago. I assure you they are even taller now 😛
Also pictured: lots of peppers, some lettuce that’s still producing after three months, and Brussels sprouts (which I fight over with the moths on a daily basis!)

I’m in southern Ontario, too. My trellis is 7 feet tall. Tomatoes and squash are reaching for the stars.
