I've seen something similar posted and never see the identity. Just an inference that everyone here seems to know that i don't. I'm still learning. Please send help. Should i ask my neighbor for a segment?

Definitely ask to purchase a segment or three…hopefully you are on good terms with your neighbor 😉😁

That’s gotta be worth at least a couple hundred if split into segments… idk what the market is whole

Tell then you’ll give them a hundred dollars for the whole thing lol either they know the actual value, or they might think in today’s economy, that that’s a pretty good deal for an old cactus 😆

I have one of these! I brought a cutting a few years ago, it has funny growth patterns and new growth just bursts out the side like a xenomorph and that growth barely does anything the following season except maybe burst open with a new stem. Mine got knocked over and broke but came back stronger with little effort.

Thank you all for your quick responses. You can see in my other recent post they have some really old specimens in their back yard i don’t see any evidence of harvesting or cutting. I’ll leave a note on their door today. Hopefully they contact me back.

Do you happen to live in Sacramento? I’ve drove past a stand that looks like this many times.

Absolutely ask your neighbor for a nice piece of that. Shit, ask him if you can buy it outright. Tell him you are an enthusiast & it’ll be in really good hands.

That’s gold for the mind and soul right there 👀
