I’ve had small yards and go this route too. AirPods get you through the actual work, followed by a cold drink + an Advil afterwards 😆👌

Dude just rent one for like $50 well worth it

  4. Why do you need to aerate? Doesn’t look compacted.

  5. A little blast of WD-40 inside the tines helps a lot.

How do you stop this thing from pulling the ground up? The dirt seems to stick to it no matter how wet I get the ground.

Ugh I feel ya. I just hand aereated (sp?) About 1000 sq ft this morning .gonna feel it bigly tomorrow.

I have mine planned for two weeks (7b). I got my landzie this past week and did a couple practice stomps. Only about 1500 sq ft, but I guess I’m ready.

Decided to go this route because I have so much landscape lighting and invisible fence wire and an otherwise relatively small yard.

You will wish you had rented an aerator. Especially under the trees and the ground looks dry and hard.

I just did the front part of my front yard (about 300 square feet) thankfully that was the only compacted area as it was enough for me.

Before I moved out of the place I sold I had a yard large enough to justify a riding mower, and I picked up a pull behind aerator for, I feel like, a couple hundred bucks. Strap some bags of gravel or some block to the top of it to weigh it down and just ride around for 30 minutes pulling plugs up and good to go every couple seasons. Think it was the AgriFab 40″ deal.

Ha! I did that exact thing last year and my body freaked out. I was in so much pain I felt like I had a fever. The next few days were rough.

2000sqft 3 weeks ago, still feel it. God speed.

I pay a guy $100 to do my 1/3 acre and he over seeds at the same time. Worth it to me.
