Noticed this damage after bringing this baby home from the store. I've had it for about 4 months since that, and the leaf has stayed green, but should I remove it so the plant can focus on growing new, healthy leaves? I've watered once every 25 days or so, and only recently moved it into more direct sunlight (one week ago.) It's in what I assume to be generic succulent mix, which is what it was in at the store. Any advice to get this plant growing and looking healthier?

Looks like typical mechanical damage. No reason to remove the leaf. You cannot trick a plant into focusing on anything. In fact, if you cut the leaf off the plant would begin to attempt to grow a new leaf, possibly staffing energy from other parts.
