Picture of my baby so this post doesn’t get lost but I’m curious and new to AV’s. I saw an AV earlier today with a few variegated leaves (just lighter green, not white), is that rare and is it possible to keep it from going back to fully dark green leaves? I wanted to buy it so badly today but once I googled that the leaves could change back I became unsure, now regretting leaving it. I know lots of light helps which I have so yeah thank you anyone for any help! 😁🫶🏻

Variegation in AVs can change by the season, temp, light, fertilizing, etc.

None of my variegated African violets have reverted. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I have had variegation become more pronounced though with more light!

It would help if you know the name of the variety. There are AV with natural yellow variegation and not just on outer layer of leaves. Which would mean it might be just an old leaves. African Violet leaf variegation, bloom color, size and petal count changes due to the genetics, season temperature, light, fertilizer and other growing conditions. Photo Ex.

Since my house is very warm this Summer. The new growth mostly are green and the yellow variegation is just outside layer. Im not to concern as I know the variegation will come back as soon as the temp. cools down.
