Hi, it’s Steph and we’re at Lowe’s and they just received a whole new shipment for fall planting. There are perennials, shrubs, fall annuals, and even a Labor Day sale. So, let’s go ahead and take a look at the August inventory at Lowe’s. Friends, fall is a perfect time of year to plant. The temperatures are cooler. we generally get more rainfall, which means that your plants will have time to settle in with less stress and with water so that they can establish some roots before the winter hits and the ground freezes. So, here are some new shrubs that they just received here at Lowe’s. The white pillar rose of Sharon by Proven Winners. And this one grows in a pillar shape like the name suggests. So, it is taller than it is wide. So, it gets to be about 10 to 16 feet tall and only four to 5t wide. Hardy and USDA growing zones 5 through 9 and it likes full sun, six plus hours of sun per day. It’s heat tolerant and narrow and gets these beautiful white blooms. I recently visited a garden to do a tour and they had this rose of Sharon and it was all in bloom and it was so striking. So here are some blooms that you can check out. Very pretty. These are by Proven Wyinners. They’re in a number two gallon container for 27.98. And they also have the purple pillar. So different coloring on this one. It has a lavender purple with a red center. You can actually see that right here. Also very pretty. Lots of buds on these shrubs. So if you bring them home and plant them, you’re still going to enjoy a bloom show. And here are the specks on the purple pillar. So, this one also gets to be 10 to 16 feet tall, 4 to 5t wide, and it is hearty in USDA growing zones 5 through 9 or down to -20° F. It wants 6 plus hours of sun per day. And that’s what it looks like when it’s all in bloom. Very pretty. Also 27.98 for a 2 gallon container. And friends, if this past spring you admired rodendrrons and wished you had one in your garden, well, this fall is the time to plant one so that you can enjoy these blooms next spring in your garden. This is a dandy man colorwheel roodendron by proven winners. And the cool thing about this particular roodendron is that it goes through a color change as the name suggests, color wheel. So what happens is the blooms will emerge a really pretty shade of rose pink and as the bloom matures and ages it will turn white. The dandy man color wheel says that there is never a dull moment. A roodendrin that starts with red opens to deep pink and finally turns bright white. It wants six hours of sun per day. So 4 to 6 hours. So part sun to sun exposure. It is hardy in USDA growing zones 5 through 9 or down to -40° F. and it gets to be four to eight feet tall and wide. It is evergreen, so not only do you get those beautiful blooms in spring, but this large leafed shiny foliage throughout the whole winter to provide some visual interest and structure in your garden. And these are in a number two container for $32.98. And some aelas also for some spring blooms, but this is the perfecto double pink relooming aelia. Typically, aelas will give you a bloom show in the spring and they will be done. But now there are some relooming varieties which will give you some blooms throughout the rest of the season. Now the secondary flushes generally are not as large or prolific as the first flush. I am not familiar with this variety. In general, there’s been the encore aelia which many people love and I’m guessing this one is going to be just as wonderful. So this one here, the perfecto double pink has these beautiful light pink colored blooms. Oh, look at that. That’s what it’ll look like in bloom. And it wants four to six hours of sun per day. And it is hardy in zones 6B through 9 or down to -5° F. And pretty compact at only 2 to 3 ft tall and wide. Also evergreen, so you will get this beautiful shiny green foliage throughout the winter months. And then the blooms beginning in spring. And these are also a number two container for $27.98. And they also have perfectoundo double purple. So it’s a little bit deeper color purple bloom. And did you know that roodendrrons and aelas are the same? So most aelas have been reclassified as roodendrrons. You can actually see that right there. Check out this awesome cabana shed. The first thing that came to mind when I saw this was it would make a perfect little flowerhouse. Like say you wanted to sell flowers at the corner of your property or something. Look at this. So the top goes up when you’re open for business. You can probably even hang a cute little awning on it and has a counter and so roomy inside. It’s 8×7. Look, there’s even a counter on the inside. So you can make it like a potting shed. This would actually make a great potting shed. And it’s on sale this weekend. Labor Day sale. Limited time deal $16.99. Was $18.99. This is awesome. There’s even a window on the side and a door. We’re going to go inside and check it out. So, it has a latch. Look at this. It has a plastic like faux wood grain floor shelving. [Music] has a window on each side that you could open for ventilation. I my mind is spinning because this would make the perfect spot to sell cut flowers and I actually grow a bunch of them in my raised bed garden. And here would be your view outward. And some really colorful fall annuals. So the croins are in and these are a really colorful uh annual. Now these are a tropical plant which means you can keep them outside in the fall until the temperatures start to drop and then you can bring them inside and treat them as a house plant but they will not survive cold temperatures. Now this year they have them in these decorative wicker style basket planters and they are a plastic material making them weatherproof and you can reuse them afterwards if you want to with other plants. $29.98 for these. really beautiful colorful foliage in shades of fall. And something that I’ve seen for the first time this year are some patunia planters for the fall. Now, patunias do like cool temperatures. In fact, you’ll often see them in the spring shortly after the pansies start to show up. And they also do well in fall with the cooler temperatures as well as in the summer. So, a really long season and sort of versatile annual really. And the colors on these are really pretty, orangey and yellow. This reminds me very much of the honey patunia by Proven Wyinners with this golden color and a little bit of an umber or orange. And then there’s also this really pretty kind of red orange color. And they’re in a bowl style cobalt blue planter. And these are $14.98. And they do like full sun. One of the Labor Day deals that they’re having here at Lowe’s is the mums. So, they have five for 10 mums, making them $2 each on the one quart mums. Now, personally, I don’t like to buy mums in August, but if you’re good at keeping them alive, then have at it. It’s a great price. Mums do like a lot of water, so if you bring them home, you’re going to have to water them deeply um and pretty often to keep the soil pretty moist. You can take them, soak them into a bucket or tray of water to let them hydrate and then keep them watered after that. If I were to buy moms this early in the season, I would not buy them already open like this. I would look for a plant that’s all tightly budded like that. That way, you can get a little bit longer out of them. Another great tip is to plant them in a large container with more soil, which will retain more moisture, but the mums are definitely in. And some baskets of millet. Now these are very falllike and look really pretty in an arrangement with things like mom’s croten and even some Monttok daisies. Now Monttok daisies are for the fall. They bloom later in the season versus the Shasta daisy which will bloom earlier in the summer, usually around July in my garden. But the Monttok will bloom around September. It says summer and fall. So usually towards the tail end of summer, very beginning of fall and they get pretty tall. So, the thing that is recommended with Montalk daisies if you plant them in your garden is to do something called the Chelsea chop. And that is when at some point before the Chelsea flower show, so at the end of May for us here in the US it would be around Memorial Day. You would go through and cut the plant down uh I usually do by about half and that way it’ll give it a bushier growth habit. It’ll delay the blooming and it’ll also prevent some of that flopping that happens in the center from these getting too tall. So, Montok daisies do like full sun, so 6 plus hours of sun per day. It is a perennial. It is hardy down to a zone 5 or -10° F, and it gets to be 24 to 36 in in height and 18 to 24 in in width. And the ornamental millet in these barrel style planters are $29.98. They also have Croin in these smaller type planters that are a plastic liner with a plant inside. And these are $15.98. And they have different patterns on the planter. They even have some Croin mixed in with ferns in these small like a eight or 10 in whiskey barrel planter. And these are $29.98. But this can also give you some ideas of how you can arrange some fall planters in your own garden. So you can almost like graze inspiration from these. You can tuck some croen, some ferns, maybe a mum or two. And then look at this. They have some heather. Now, these are great because not only do they look beautiful in the winter because they’re evergreen, but you get these really early blooms in winter. They come in shades of this purple, pink, as well as white. Now, they are a Mediterranean style plant, which means they like a very well- draining soil that kind of leans dry and lots of sun. But look at this. They’re really striking. These would also look beautiful in a container. Now, this variety is, let’s see, this is called the Linda Heather, and it flowers in it says summer and fall. So, it’s possible that this is one that blooms at a different time than the other heathers, which will bloom in winter. And these are 25.98. They do like full sun, like we discussed, hardy down to a zone 4 or -20° F. And this white variety here is called Kuna Viva. It also says that it blooms in spring and summer. So unless it gets a secondary flush of blooms, um perhaps that is the case. And these are 25.98 again full sun. And this variety is hardy also down to a zone 4 or -20° F. Looks very much like a Veronica, doesn’t it? or like a blooming salvia with this spike type bloom. The three quart mums are two for $8. And this is what I was talking about when I said I would get them in tight bud form just like this. Now, sometimes it’s tricky to know which color they’re going to be, but if you can trust the tags, I oftent times have a little bit of a trust issue with the tag. So, I like to see what color it’s going to be. But sometimes the buds are such that you can kind of almost tell what color the bloom might be. But yeah, great price. Two for eight on the 3 court moms. And the Labor Day sale on perennials the 2 and 1/2q at 2 for $10. Now this sale begins today, Thursday, August 21st, and it’s going to run through 93. And they have here at my store it looks like lavender, tickseed, cone flour, rudacia, obedient plant, and some sedums. So quite a good variety for these mid to late summer and even fall blooming perennials. The obedient plant, this is an upright type perennial that has blooms very similar to say a pensan. They’re like a bell-shaped type bloom. Pollinators love them. They zoom in and out of them all day long. But this plant is called the obedient plant, but has a reputation for not being very obedient. Um, in some gardens, it has the tendency to spread and get a little bit carried away. But it really does depend on what zone you’re in, how your garden is, the microclimate, etc. If a plant is happy, some of them will spread a bit more aggressively, and in some gardens it won’t. So, let us know in the comments if you’ve grown obedient plant and how it’s performed for you. Tons of buds left on this perennial here. This is a white variety. It’s called the Crystal Peak Obedient Plant. It is hardy down to -30° F or a zone 3. It gets to be 12 to 18 in in height and 12 to 15 in in width. And it likes full sun. And all of these Lowe’s house brand containers, the two court listed for $8.98, are on the sale at 2 for10, making them $5 a piece. And they do ring up individually. So, if you only wanted to get one, it would be $5. And lavender, a very fragrant perennial for your garden. I just love the smell of lavender. If you just kind of rub your fingers on it, oh, it has such a calming and soothing smell. I love it. Now, these originated in the Mediterranean, which means they also love a very aid and dry, well- draining soil in full sun. They have these sort of like blue green with a hint of like silver foliage which makes them very pretty and contrasting to all of the darker green in the garden. You can kind of see that on the side of the coropsis how the shades of green are a bit different. These are also part of the sale. This variety here is the super blue lavender. It is a summer bloomer. It likes full sun and look at that photo when it gets loaded with blooms. So pretty. So this variety gets to be 10 to 12 in in height and 12 to 14 in in width and hardy down to a zone 4 or -20° F. Antic seed, also known as coropsis, a very long blooming perennial. There are always tons of buds on this plant. It looks very similar to something like a cosmo to me in terms of its growth habit, the stems, and the bloom buds. To cut these back once most of the plant has spent blooms like this, I would say to just shear it all back and let it reflush with bloom buds. That is going to be the easiest way. It can be pretty tedious to go through each of these stems and cut them off, but these are a bloom powerhouse. They have tons and tons of buds on them and they bloom nonstop for a really long time. This variety has a golden color with a bit of a maroon splash of color in the center. It is called the Suniss Coropsis. It is hardy down to a zone 4 or -20° F. It gets to be 12 to 14 in in height and 14 to 16 in in width. And they like full sun. Holy smokes. Look at the size of the head on this cone flower. It is massive. So pretty. So this is actually called the feeling pink cone flour and it’s an upright perennial. Cone flowers also like a very well draining soil in full sun. You don’t want to give it too much moisture or it can rot at the crown and then you’ll lose your plant. So these are also on the 2 for 10 perennial sale. Hardy down to zone 4 or -20° F. And this one gets to be 18 to 24 in in height, 12 to 16 in in width. It is deer resistant, but I do find that sometimes the bunnies will snack on my echanatia, specifically the lower leaves and buds that they can reach. Um, sometimes they just cut the buds off and leave them on the ground, which is a little bit frustrating, but I do use a repellent, a liquid fence deer, and wrap it, which seems to help quite a bit. But this one is beautiful. I’m actually going to buy this one and take it home and add it to my collection. I love cone flowers. I have several varieties. They’re one of my favorite perennials. And a cone flower that I have a ton of is the Pow Wow Wild Berry. It has this really pretty pink. It is a prolific bloomer. One that in my opinion can handle a little bit more moisture because I’ve had it planted in a bed that does tend to stay a little wet if it rains um for quite a few years. It has spread and it is really happy and looking really pretty. But this one here is the Pow Wow Wild Berry. I would still recommend planting cone flowers in a well- draining soil just to be on the safe side. Um, but I risked it. I wasn’t sure how they would do. Mine have performed well, but it’s not to say that would be the case for you. So, always plant them in full sun, well- draining soil. This one here is hardy to a zone 3 or -30° F. It gets to be 15 to 18 in in height, 12 to 18 in in width, and they’re part of the 2 for 10 perennial sale in the two court container. And if you like Rudekia, but maybe you want a smaller, more compact variety that you can use in a front of a border, this would be a good option. This is the little gold star rudekia. It’s a fulgita type rudbeekia. It likes full sun. It will bloom in summer and fall. They get these golden blooms as you can see here in the photo. This one is still tightly budded. So if you planted it in your garden, you would get to enjoy it in bloom. It is hardy to a zone 4 or -20° F. And this variety is very compact at only 14 to 16 in in height and in width. Now I find these very deer and rabbit resistant in my garden. Nothing seems to touch them and they bloom for a really long time. I have the Goldstrom variety which is a bit taller. The bloom is a bit larger and the foliage as well. And these are a great late season perennial to add to the garden. And these are also in the Lowe’s house brand container. Two quarts two for $10 as part of the sale. And sedum. This here is a very popular variety. The ODM joy sedum. Sedums are a wonderful long season interest plant. They will emerge with their foliage in spring. They have these really pretty large succulent type leaves that are glossy and very impactful. They’ll usually make a little mounded cluster of that foliage. Then in the summer, they will start sending up their bloom stocks before finally blooming in the later part of summer and into fall. And then they will persist with a beautiful shades of pink coloring all the way through the fall. You can even leave these bloom heads up to let the snow catch on them and provide some really pretty winter interest. They dry beautifully and look really pretty. The pollinators also really love them. But all around just a workhorse and staple perennial for any garden. They do like a very well- draining soil that leans dry in full sun. If you give them too much moisture and not enough sun, they will spllay in the center and start to flop and not be very upright, which makes them look a little bit unsightly. So definitely full sun, well- draining soil. So here is the photo. You can see it will fade to beautiful shades of pink. It’s an upright perennial for summer and fall. These are part of the sale at 2 for $10. And they are hearty, very hearty sedums down to zone 3 or -30° F. This variety, the autumn joy, gets to be 18 to 24 in in height and 18 to 24 in in width. Super easy plant to divide. In fact, if you’re planting this, one of these stems snaps off. Just take it, shove it in the soil, remove the lower leaves, put it in the soil, and in no time it will start rooting and you have a whole other plant. Look at this tick seed or coropsis. This is by Monrovia. These containers are $13.98. They have a beautiful kind of magenta coloring to them. Very pretty. Tons and tons of bloom buds. Look at this. And this would look beautiful paired with a yellow plant in fall or even with purples. Very pretty. So this variety is the Mercury Rising Coropsis by Monrovia. It is a perennial for full sun. It is water- wise, which means that it is drought tolerant once it’s established. It wants 6 plus hours of sun per day, and it gets to be 15 to 18 in in height and 24 to 36 in in width. Blooms summer through fall, hardy down to -10° F. And another great perennial for late season blooms is the hearty hibiscus. Now, some of you might be familiar with the hibiscus that it is a tropical. You grow in the summer, it’s an annual, and then it’s done. Well, this habiscus is hardy and perennial. So, it comes back year after year. And the great thing about it is that it blooms late in the season. So, I’m in a zone 6B7A and this shows up for me and blooms in August and is looking fabulous in my garden at the moment. I have the Proven Winners Summerrific Perfect Storm, which is a lighter pink with a darker pink and a red center. And this variety is a red one, which I thought was the holy grail, but it is in fact a new variety by Proven Winners, and it is called the Summerrific Valentine’s Crush Habiscus. These do like full sun. They can handle a moist, well- draining soil, and it gets to be 4 to 5t tall and wide. hearty in zones 4 through 9 or down to -30° Fahrenheit. It blooms midsummer through early fall. Now, if you purchased one of these hearty habiscus plants this year and you plant it in your garden um next spring rolls around and you’re starting to get worried because you don’t see it pushing through the soil, don’t worry. These are late to break dormcy. In my garden, usually miday to late May is when I will start seeing them push some new stems out from the soil. And then they bloom at the later part of summer uh in August for me here in my garden. So these are always late but worth the wait. And they are perennial but because they are so large you would think that they’re considered a shrub but they’re not. But you only need one of these to make an impact because they get pretty large. And look at these dinner plate size blooms. They make such a statement. Great to plant next to a patio or swimming pool. Very tropical looking. Some more perennials for fall. Here are some sedum by proven winners. This is the rock and round bright idea and it has this small mounded kind of compact growth habit. The stems are red and then they get these yellow blooms which are different than the pink sedums that you typically see. The rock and round bright idea sedum. You can see how it grows in this nice round ball-shaped habit. It is a perennial for full sun in a 2 and 1/2q container for $12.98. And it gets to be 10 to 12 in in height and 16 to 20 in spacing. Hardy in zones 3 through 8 or down to -40° F. And it blooms early to midsummer. And another favorite perennial in my garden for late season blooms is the anemone. And look at this one. It is loaded with bloom buds. It’s going to be so gorgeous when it blooms. Now this variety is by Proven Winners and it is the fall in love sweetly an enemy hybrid. It is a perennial for part sun to sun. It is hardy in zones 4 through eight. And this two quart container is 12.98. It gets to be 24 to 30 in in height and needs 20 to 26 in spacing. Now, these do spread by runners. Uh in some gardens, if they’re happy, they can spread quite a bit. Very easy to pull out if they’re in a place you don’t want them and to share them with friends. But they are gorgeous. Let me show you this bloom. Look at that. Isn’t that stunning? So pretty. Now, imagine a plant covered in these. Really pretty. Now, this one’s a nice height, too. It’s about 24 to 30 in, making it like a second row of the border type plant. I have mine interplanted with some of the summer blooming aliums, which are those ball-shaped purple blooms, and they look really pretty together. I’m really passionate about having a bloom show throughout the whole growing season and I do a lot of succession planting to make sure that that happens. So, this is a great one to add for blooms in late summer through early fall. And we can’t talk about late season interest in the garden without talking about ornamental grasses. Look at all of the texture and movement it provides and vertical interest. And they make a great habitat for wildlife, birds, and such in the winter if you leave them up. Now, this variety is the Shannidoa switchgrass. it likes full sun. Most ornamental grasses do need full sun. There are a couple that prefer shade. If you don’t have them in enough sun, they will spllay in the center, lay on the ground, and not be as upright and don’t look as attractive. So, this variety here is cold hearty down to -20° Fahrenheit or down to a zone 4. And it gets to be 3 ft in height and 2 feet in width. 14.98 for 1 and 1/2 gallon container. And you can see that it has already sent up its blooms, which on this grass are these really loose seed heads. And there’s also this lighter variety that is a variegated type. It has like a light green color with a cream margin. And this is the variegated Japanese silver maiden grass. And you can see it kind of uh sprawls over has kind of like a fountain growth habit. And this one is also 14.98. It likes full sun. And this variety is also hardy to a zone 4 or down to -20° F. Gets quite large at 6 feet in height and 3 ft in width. Now, the other thing to know about grasses, ornamental grasses, is that ones such as this that get quite large, after a few years, it will start to develop a hollow in the center. And that is your cue that it is time to divide that grass. So, you would have to dig it up, divide it in sections and get rid of that hollow in the center so that your grass can grow nice and full again. So, they do require a little bit of maintenance every three to four years. And another pretty grass that’s a little more compact and is actually native. This is the blue stem grass. This one is called the Blues Little. It’s $14.98 for a 1/2 gallon container. It does like full sun and it is hardy down to -30° F or down to a zone 3. It gets to be 24 to 36 in in height and 24 to 36 in in width. And this blue coloring is really pretty. And as we’re heading into fall and then after that is winter, it’s important to think about winter interest in your garden as well. And the fall is a great time to plant some evergreens and conifers. If you’re looking to plant a privacy hedge or a living fence this fall, there are lots of arborvite options in stock. There is the green giant arborvite and the emerald green. And I do have a video that I can link below on the differences between the two. Or if you just want to add a green backdrop so that all of your perennials will pop, that’s also another option. But there are some great plants here that you can use to do that. The North Pole Arborite by Proven Winners is a more compact version of an arborite. You can see here how it’s planted in a grouping and looks really pretty. Now, this variety only gets to be 10 to 15t tall and 3 to 5 ft wide. It is hardy in zones 3 through 8 or down to -40° F. It likes sun or part sun and it wants well- draining moist soil. Now, arborvites do like moisture, especially when they’re newly planted. If you don’t give them enough moisture, they will start to brown and eventually die. So, that is very important, especially for their first year. And then anytime after that, when you’re having periods of drought, definitely water your arborites. Now, look how pretty that looks in that group there. I love that. makes such an impact as a specimen grouping. And these are in a four and a half gallon container for 54.98. And some more colorful evergreens. Now, when all of your perennials are dormant in the winter months, you can still have some really beautiful things to look at out in the garden. This is the lemonth thread fall cypress. Sometimes they’re known as the golden mop. Look at that really pretty shape on that. These are $11.98 and this likes full sun. In order for it to have this golden color, it needs full sun. If you have it in too much shade, it’ll sort of turn green like what you see on the unders sides of the leaves here that don’t get much sun. So, definitely give it full sun. Now, these are relatively compact. This variety here needs 3 to 5 ft spacing for height, 2 to 4 ft width, and it is hardy down to a zone 4. So, very hardy down to -20° F. If you happen to plant one of these and over the years it gets a little bit too large and you don’t like it anymore, give it a second life by pruning it up into a topiary tree. I actually did that in my garden. I can link a video down below. It’s a great way to keep an evergreen going a little bit longer by just giving it a different form and seeing how you like it before you decide to rip it out. And another interesting one is this fire chief arborvite. Now I planted these in my garden and I really like them. I have two of them. They grow in a rounded mounded habit. They can get three to four feet tall and wide over time. And what I like about them is in the winter they actually go bronze. So you might think that they’re dying. They’re not. That is just their winter color. And then in the spring and summer they have the most beautiful vibrant chartreuse color. And all of the new growth comes out kind of in this coral color. So it is a really pretty evergreen. Now these are in a 1gon container for $16.98. Let me see if I can find some specs for you. Now, I don’t see a spec card, but I pretty much just told you what you need to know. Full sun, well- draining soil. They’re usually hardy down to about a zone four if I had to give you my best guess, but you can certainly Google that. And I really like these small containers, the one gallons, because they’re smaller root ball, which makes them really easy to plant. But this is a really pretty evergreen. And here is an arborite that has a golden color. And this is by First Editions. Now, I have one in my garden called the Forever Goldie. It is gorgeous. It gets a little bit bronze in the winter and very golden yellow in the spring and summer. This one is actually called lemon burst arborvite. And it likes full sun as well, medium water needs, and it gets to be 4 to 6 feet in height and 3 to 4 feet in width. Hardy in zones 4 through 8. These are in a pretty large container. Let’s see. Looks like maybe a number five for $54.98. Some more gorgeous cone flowers. Now, these are the Cheyenne Spirit, which means you’ll get multiple colors in one container. They come in shades of pink and orange and red, yellows, and creams, and they are just beautiful. Planted in mass, they are stunning. Look at this. So pretty. These are in the larger containers, the Lowe’s house brand container, the colored ones. They’re $15.98. You can certainly divide them if you prefer. And they like full sun. Again, a very well draining soil. They’re hardy down to a zone 4 down to -20° F. And this variety gets to be 24 to 36 in in height and 18 to 24 in wide. I often get questions about what I use to keep deer and rabbit away from my plants in my garden. I deal with both deer, rabbit, and groundhogs. But I do use this pretty often. It’s the liquid fence deer and rabbit repellent. It’s a readymix container. You just shake this really well. You have a sprayer built in and it is $24.98 here at Lowe’s. And I spray pretty often, every about 7 days or so. So once a week and if we get a really heavy rainfall, I will go through and spray again. But this to me works really well. Another really pretty rudekia plant. Look at this. Such gorgeous large blooms. It’s almost like a double layer of petals and yellow with this brown center and brown cone and these whiskey barrel planters. And this is known as the Sonora Rud Beckia and it likes full sun. It’s an upright perennial 1498 for these in the decorative planter. Says that they bloom in summer and hearty down to a zone 5 or down to -10° F. And they get to be 24 in in height, 18 in in width. Very pretty. I’m going to pick up four of these feeling pink cone flowers today. They are just gorgeous and I cannot leave them behind. Do I have the room for them? No, not a square inch, but I’m not a quitter, so I will make room and that’s what we gardeners do. So, that brings us to the end of the August inventory and the Labor Day sale here at Lowe’s. I hope that you enjoyed checking out what my store has in stock and I hope that you can find some of these deals near you. Thank you so much for spending your time with me and I will catch you in the next one.

Steph, no one does plant shopping like you. You always give all the information on each plant and the price. Also, your personal experience with a lot of the plants. You always know the correct way to pronounce the name of each plant, you are a pro. I always enjoy all of your videos. Thank you!
I've been meaning to tell you. I plant my mums in the ground and I'm in Ont. Canada zone 5. They come back and this year they are huge. I wish I could remember what colour they are but I will find out in a few weeks. LOL I have always done this and sometimes if we have a very cold winter it may not live but most of the time they do.
thank you for the shop along..i learned a lot about different plants and the ones i might want..
Ohio is only offering sedum 2 for $10.00. You are really lucky to have such a selection!
I’m gonna have to go to Lowe’s.. .. hopefully, they are stocked up & ready for me!!! Thank you Steph, for the informative video once again! Lowe’s should be giving you some kick backs girl.. I’ve always wondered, when they see you coming are they gracious and helpful and expect you? Do they know you have such a great YT channel? 😊♥️
Thanks for sharing. Now I need to go. I will find room
My coreopsis did good at first, then it flopped outward. Eventually it died. Not sure it was this finicky
I lost some coneflowers to what I think was crown rot. I had them in original nursery containers and planned on putting in ground in fall but the leaves started to turn black and there was no saving it. Is this what crown rot looks like? And is it same as root rot?
Hi Steph – as always great plant tour. Your motto "I'm no quitter", made me laugh! I also wanted to say how soothing your voice is. If you are ever looking for a different vocation I bet you would make an amazing audio book reader!! I've listened to many audio books and trust me the voice is just important as the story! I've not finished several for that very reason. You would be great!
Hooray! TY! 😊
Its called the Obediant plant, not because it stays put in the garden, but because you can swivel the flowers around and they stay put.
Wow, do i learn a lot from you and push to continue to learn and plant.
Love the shed! Also great to sell garden fresh veggies and eggs. Lowe's is stepping up it's game! I love our local Lowes!
Hi Steph. No Lowe's on the Cape but thanks for the tour.
1. Love coneflowers but rabbits ate mine.
2. Tried Heather plants. Bought 3 last year and one was fine and 2 did not survive. Even though treated all 3 the same.
3. Too early for mums. I also like to buy them when hardly open. Will wait for awhile.
4. The prices at Lowe's are amazing! I bought 3 sedums last year at my local garden center for about $15 each! Had to move them because our sprinkler system was hitting them with too much water. Now in a better spot.
"I'm not a quitter, so I will make room!"…my new philosophy for not having anymore room but buying that plant anyways!! <3 <3 <3 <3
Yes, that cabana shed looks like a flower stand! That is really cool!
Although I live in North Carolina…I really enjoy your videos and appreciate all your tips! Thank you
❤❤❤
We have no plants at lowes in NJ
Very beautiful flowers nice verities
I am in zone 7B, I just checked Lowe's and they don't have Japanese Anenemy which I hoped.
This is so wholesome.
Keep them coming.
Excellent demonstration.
I planted those rebloomimg azaleas last fall and followed the exact directions, and of the 20 I planted, maybe only 2 bloomed this year and the flowers were very meh. I was so sad, perhaps they will do better next year
The White Roses Sharon Pillar shouldn't even be on the market. Number one it flops to the point it looks like the original Rose of Sharon. It's extremely invasive and proven winners suckered me into planting seven of them yay that I'm now having to remove 🥵🤬🥵
Brilliant work.
So many beautiful items and ideas 🤗🤗
I'm impressed.
hi Step, the holy grail, has burgundy leafs, and a deeper red flower, i have it,and the Midnight Marvel, and some kind of pink, the grail is my oldest ,and its pretty, but the Midnight Marvel, is stunning , it's about 6-7 ft. tall, flowers, all the way up, the stem.
I have issues with trusting tags too! This year I bought several light pink geraniums, all with the same variety tag, all in the same tray. One of them didn't have any buds. It ended up being bright red!
The rose of Sharon is invasive in my yard! My neighbors have one and it’s sending shoots into my yard in an unwanted manner
My Lowe’s in Frisco ,Tx doesn’t look anything like that. The only perennials other than mums that I could see on sale for the two for 10 were some half dead looking black eyed Susan. Very disappointed and I walked out with nothing.

Love the color wheel rhododendron, thanks 👍
