What do we think is digging holes in my yard and mulch? I’m thinking possibly an armadillo, but it always visits late at night. If armadillo, any good techniques on baiting him? No banana, so here’s a Granny Smith for y’all.

I these holes in my yard, but I also have a lot of squirrels. I assumed that they are just digging for grubs or trying to find spots to hide nuts and seeds.

An angry apple – looks like you caught it in the act

  4. You weird Europeans with your apple measuring system. How do I convert to bananas?

Chipmunks, voles, squirrels, a combo of them all

  6. Hoppered1

I had a Vole digging these exact same holes

Those holes in my yard are chipmunks. I use a have-a-heart trap with a chicken nugget in the back.

Could be a skunk, armadillo or many other creatures.

That is the strangest banana I’ve ever seen!

I’m in the southeast and have had these before. It was a possum. Using some granular grub killer a few times a year keeps the from digging in my yard.

Call a pest control if you really want to know. Or place silly putty and see if by any chance you get any footprints.

Check your soil for grubs, dillos will tear up anything rooting for them.

    Good Hunting.

Can’t see how big it is, no banana

Depends on where you are located. My best guess would be prairie dog or vole.

  22. Kzootwentyeight

Squirrels. Lookin for nuts. A mole if have soft spots in ground

Toads are doing this in my yard in Wisconsin. So I’m going with Bufo americanus unless you’ve got a different variety down there. Toads burrow in during the day and get out at night.

What am I looking at? How big is it? Maybe burrowing elephants? Quantum tunnelling?
