I propagated some clippings and I plan on placing them around my house once they're ready for the next transplant. I recently noticed that every single pot is growing mold (second picture). I mixed the soils about 50/50 (3rd and 4th pictures). I made sure they were well watered for the first 2 weeks, then tapered off to once every few weeks. Am I using the wrong soil? What happened and how do I fix it? Thanks in advance!

Your potting soil says “contains mycorrhizae” – it’s probably mycorrhizae. Even if your dirt didn’t have any added, spores are all around. It’s possible it’s harmless (or even beneficial) but it might be a sign you’re keeping your dirt too wet which could be bad for the roots.

    Agree with the mychorrizae comment.

How rooted are your cuttings? Are you watering the entire pot? How’s the air flow in the room? The soil may be getting too waterlogged with immature root systems.
