All right, folks. Rick Mills here again with another wild quotation marks edible. Got my compost here. Today we’re talking about something that most people are familiar with. There’s a lot of videos on this one. Is called purse lane. So, what I find is just about anywhere you disturb your soil, planting a garden, where you’re hoing it and it pops up, you get this beautiful plant called pelane. Pelane is more nutritious than almost anything you’re planting in your garden. It’s excellent in salads. It grows, you can get it big, it’s much better when it’s young, doesn’t have a lot of flavor. It’s going to take on whatever dressing or whatever you put in there. Some vinegar, some oil, and everything. Massively nutritious. Let’s look around the yard for some other places. Here’s an example of a location where the soil’s been disturbed. Just got done putting my foundation in for our garage. Take a look at this. So, all along the edges of this, you can see this. This is really grown up. This is pelane right here. You really can’t mistake it. Okay? You can look at it. It’s very very thick plant. You really can’t mistake it. And again, highly edible. Again, disturbed soil. What happens? This stuff comes up. Look at this. Now, look at this pelane. It’s almost like if you wanted to harvest it, you could disturb the soil and it would come up even if you didn’t have seeds to eat. So again, if you’re looking for a wild edible that pops up just about anywhere you disturb the soil, pelane, check it out. Pretty good in here.
