Just saved this beauty from being bulldozed. How can plant this? Its kinda an awkward shape.

    Can I put the whole main branch area with the roots coming out underground? Kinda scared it might rot since that main body branch is freshly cut.

    I would cut the main body off of the large branch. Let the area of the cut dry out, then plant it. That has enough roots on it to be planted.

    You could put some of its aerial roots in water if you want while you let the cut dry out.

    If you plant that way, you can position it how ever you want, and won’t have to worry about the big trunk it grew off rotting.

    You can cover the ends with melted wax after a few hours. If you remove and root the green part separately, and just bury the roots of the main part, it should sprout again…
