The Glimmering Mutation was added to Grow a Garden on August 30, 2025, as part of the Fairy Event update. It’s a mutation that’s tied to an event, so here’s everything you need to know about this mutation. Such as how to get it and what it does!
How to Get the Glimmering Mutation in Grow a Garden
The Glimmering Mutation is part of the Fairies Event, which happens once per hour. This event turns the sky purple with the stars visible as Fairies fly through the air to your garden. Similar to past events where bees could pollinate your plants, the Fairies will make your plants glimmer.
This is the main way during the Fairy Update to get the Glimmering Mutation, but you can also craft a Mutation Spray Glimmering to do it too. This strategy works well for completing Fairy Favors during the event so you can manually put the mutation on plants you need it for.
What Does the Glimmering Mutation Do?
Like all mutations, Glimmering adds a value multiplier to your crops. In this case, Glimmering increases your profits by 2x the standard amount for each mutated crop. In addition to this, it makes many plants pink and slightly transparent. The effects vary slightly per plant and size. Some may have pink pulsating rings, others can sparkle, and depending on the size, they can have pink streaks while moving.
This mutation isn’t great for the multiplier, but it is an important part of the Fairy Event. If you want to get rewards like Enchanted Seed Packs and Enchanted Eggs, you’ll need this one.
