Birds and gardens are a match made in heaven. While birds can thrive outside of a garden environment, the best results for both are often when they coexist together. This mutually beneficial relationship provides birds with food, water and shelter, while gardens gain by the controlling of pests, pollination and natural fertilizer. Steve Matadobra’s upcoming presentation is designed to help birders become better gardeners and to help gardeners become better birders.
The talk will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday Sept. 9 with the doors open at 9.30 am. The talk will be held in the Community Services Conference Room at 106 E. Morgan St., Brevard. The program is sponsored by the Transylvania County Extension Master Gardeners and is part of the monthly program of talks and demonstrations that will interest Master Gardeners, amateur gardeners and the public at large.
