I needed this! Thank you!
Anything that makes you feel…yeck, eh? Get rid of it, pull it out, throw it away, eh? That's why I dumped my recent girlfriend…😂❤
how about zone 6a?
❤ Thank you. I’m 9b so I have a long growing window__ thanks for inspiration. Chinese use radish in stir fry. Add to soup. I actually love them raw but understand you either love the or hate them.
Thank you for the video I just moved to zone 9a.
In the Texas Panhandle a fall garden is a bit of a gamble. It can go from the 90s to freezing in a week and then back to the 90s. October can bring 90s or 20s and blizzards. Successful fall gardening for me is growing in containers, so I can put the plants in the grow tent inside during the cold snaps.
I don't care for kale or radishes,…however… kale chips and pickled radish slices are very nice🥰
I took my calendar to first date and counted back on the calendar so I knew exactly how many days I had till that date.
Climate change adjusted my planting in Zone 5 (Ontario). it used to be May24 wkd(for decades,) not anymore. Its now April 1-15th for cold tolerant & June 01 for warm. Aug 15- Sept 05 for re seed cold tolerant . i have found this schedule works. i already have harvest in May when everybody around me is just planting their 1st round , then wonder why their lettuce & radishes are bolting (extreme heat & humidity) & they have a useless crop.
Thank you Brian. 🍃🍁💚🙃
Ime looking forward to seeing the fall garden, I am zone 8 England i am sowing quite a few of your suggestions thanks for the videos ❤
Kale tastes good when you boil it with some smoked sausage, onions, garlic, chunks of potatoes and carrots, don’t forget Tony Chachery’s or salt & pepper. Serve with cornbread. Mmm so good.
Pickled radish is the best way to eat it.
Russian Kale is much nicer. Soft leaves and milder taste
One thing a lot of people don't realize about garlic is that it's supposed to go through the winter. It's a crop that takes 9 months to grow. I'm in the zone 8A and we'll be planting my garlic on monday. It will be ready to harvest in May. And it's so fun to grow garlic. Not only were you of course use it, but once you're on your first batch you will never have to buy it again. I always save my largest bulbs to separate and plant and have always been blessed with a great harvest.
Heck, here in south Florida, we're just getting started!!
I don’t have that feeling. I’m wishing the stupid cold spell that hit us didn’t happen and shut down the growth that was happening after the blisteringly hot late June and July. Edit, You should try eating radish greens. They are excellent in a salad!
My summer garden was a nightmare, I'm excited for a fall garden, in Texas
Do you not differentiate between HARD Neck and SOFT neck??
Thank you for the reminder to sow radishes. I eat the leaves as well as the radish. I’m in zone 4. I’ll be putting my garlic in the end of September. I also toss in some lettuce seeds with the garlic. the lettuce won’t come up this fall but it will in the spring. I’ve also taken a bed, tossing in onion, lettuce, carrots and beets to winter in the ground. The ‘winter garden’ will be the first to grow in the spring when I’m getting the summer beds started. Love your channel.
Russian red kale is pretty good stir fry
