First crack at a paludarium

Tons of research and planning paid off because I’m pretty excited with how it turned out. It’s not too obvious in this photo but the waterfall is running down the piece of wood on the right. Currently I’m just trying to make sure I can keep the plants alive. Especially the elephant ear since we left for a long weekend and it just about died while we were gone… but we’ll see

Then I just have to get the water to run clear, and once I’m comfy with everything I’ll take a crack at filling the “pond” with plants and small fish/snails/shrimp?

And then way down the line we’ll pop some other critter/s in there
