Hello 👋 I have this giant Euphorbia Ammak (10ft tall+) and was wondering if I can cut one of its arms and propagate the cutting?
Do I need to let the cut end callous before replanting? I’d love to cut the arm pressing against the building. And probably one or two others.
Any advice or tips much appreciated ✌️TIA

Yep, cut off what you would like, let them callous for about a week. After that, if you don’t see roots, you should put them in buckets with sand or perlite covering the callous until roots emerge (rooting hormone and sulfur dust optional). Then you’re safe to plant them and slowly transition back into full sun. This final step is crucial. You take one cutting, put it in a box, and ship it to me 🎉😎

I bet you could make some money in r/cactiexchange on a cut like that.

One other important step is to rinse the cut under running water until the latex stops oozing out.
