first comment! planted 11 varieties of your tomato seeds this year, making careful logs to plant next year the ones that did the best for me, least disease, best productivity, etc. Thanks for what you do. sometimes I leave a few really ripe tomatoes on the vine up until freeze, they fall off and I wait until the next year to see if anything comes up, I've had a few red currant freebies over the years.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Thank you for all the work you do. It’s appreciated!
I can’t wait to try your new tomatoes! I went to the Rutgers Experimental Farm Tomato Taste Testing in NJ this week and OMG so many spitters!😂
I guess you don't have them for sale yet??
All I can see after the squeeze is salsa or a delicious east Indian dish.
How do you feel about the oxiclean method of cleaning seeds?
Cool, thankyou😊
Thank you Luke! Can you do a video on saving seeds for mums.
Thanks for the info!
Love your gardening 🫶
Is it too late in zone 8A to plant my Fall tomato seeds?
Cool, if they are hybrids will that work?
I never realized all the hard work going in to getting seeds!!!!
On a side note: All the seeds i will be getting from here on out will be from you, i got a few this year and will be getting more
Lots of work! I'm glad to be able to buy seeds from someone who does the work, because most of the seed companies are owned by one or 2 corporations, and they don't really care if you are getting quality seed.
Please tell us that you used the rest of the tomatoes for something yummy !!!
Yesss, seed saving is so great! Love it man, thanks for the good info and clear process. I used my MIgardener self seed save envalope you guys included to save some red lettuce I've had running around my garden as a "weed" I've always wanted to try and collect that seed so I can plant it where I want it to go. I'm excited to give that a try next year with that seed I saved.
Great video but I wish I would’ve seen last week because I threw mine away because they were moldy. I thought I did something wrong
Have u heard of adding diatomaceous earth to seeds to help preserve the seeds longer
absolutely no reason to let them ferment just let them get overripe on the vine then wash and clean and your good these new ways your all making up to this is is just extra steps to fck it up lol
Would love more videos for different plants on how to gather and prep those seeds too.
I've been saving seeds since Covid. It's fun and easy. Went to the store on the 21st of August and got 33 packages of seeds. Plus, my wife got some cucumber lotion. Keep up the great videos.
Is there a way to save tomatoe seeds without mold?
I'm highly allergic to mold.
I used that technique you showed on another live about saving tomatoes. I soaked my cucumber seeds over night. Then used a aluminum collander (the only 1 I found in my house) to drain water and try to get the gelatin off of them the best I could. I put the seeds on a cotton dish cloth. I made sure they spread out evenly. It worked without getting funny at all. Thank you. Now I have a lot of cucumbers seeds for next year❤❤❤
😂 I was just doing the 'crazy tomato vine dance' this morning because of how well my tomatoes reseeded from last year in what was supposed to be our onion rows. Don't worry – our onions did fine despite the sprawling volunteers – more than 10 of them, I think, ranging from Perfection in Pink and Sweet 100 cherries to paste types like Amish Paste and Thessaloniki, not to mention the perennial tomatillos that grow like weeds everywhere in our garden.
I'll be saving Pineapple tomato seeds and probably some Comstock, because I was seriously impressed by the size of them this year.
Our onions are larger than softballs, and our leeks are as tall as I am – I wish I knew what I did this year!
Thanks mate
When my tomato’s died during summer. Somehow they reseeded them selves. Now I have babies popping everywhere. It’s a blessing and a curse because I don’t want them in that area this year. 😢
I tried to find bountilicious on your website but couldnt find it. Hoping to purchase these seeds.
When wanting to saveseeds, will inset netting over the plant work to isolate the flowers?
What is your variety of San marzano tomato with no juice?
Are you using town chlorinated water from the hose?
I've wondered how those beautiful little seeds got inside those packets…I always thought it was a magic garden gnome that made them
