I’m wondering if these are considered dangerous. I’m a bit concerned about the milk sap?does anyone have experience with it? I’m also curious whether it comes out easily or if the pups break off easily. I’m new to this and really like how they look, so I’d love to know more before I buy

Yes it’s toxic. It’s latex. It’s usually only bad if you get it in a cut or orifice. It comes out easily if you break/take the pups off or if the plant gets poked. Yes but it. That’s a nice clump. E. obesa x infausta

I have several Euphorbia plants, all full of latex. My Euphorbia flanaganii is constantly leaking sap me and as long as it doesn’t get into a cut, I feel nothing. Just wash it off with soap and you are fine. Euphorbias like to stay above 50°F so I bring mine inside for the winter. Don’t let the dog or cat eat it and they are fine to grow inside.

I grow multiple euphorbia species, if you are scared of the sap wear a pair of gloves and you literally nullify it. I personally don’t usually wear gloves but it is probably recommended at first.

DO NOT get it in your eyes! It burns like hell and causes temporary blindness. It’s worse for some people. For example when I have gotten it in my eye it is a few hour ordeal, when my wife got it in hers it was a few day ordeal. I’m officially in charge of Euphorbia cuttings now haha. The dry sap can even do it. Definitely be careful with these plants but don’t be scared of them either. Just be careful.
