The project, run by the town’s community council, aims to highlight and recognise the top front lawns across the area.

Residents were assessed on a range of categories, with Mrs Mandi Bain being voted the overall winner for the 2025 awards.

Anne Snoddy, secretary for Peebles Community Council, said: “Mandi has a wonderful large garden which often features in our Peebles in Bloom Awards.

“She has now developed a colourful plot in the communal area opposite her house which will give pleasure to all who pass by.

“As if that wasn’t enough, she has also created a lovely display around the bench at the fourth tee on Peebles Golf Course which even features a chandelier hanging above the bench.”

All shortlisted owners were welcomed to the Burgh Hall by Peter Maudsley, chairman of the town’s community council.

In an opening speech, he acknowledged the difficulties gardeners have faced through the year, including Storm Floris, heatwaves and torrential downpours.

Mr Maudsley also paid tribute to volunteers at Bonnie Peebles and Floral Peebles before thanking community councillors and the event judges.
