Hello all! I've been growing this ZZ plant for probably 3 1/2 years now, it started at about 5 inches tall and on the counter, since then it’s been upgraded to a much bigger planter and now is probably four or five feet tall at its highest branch from top soil. it’s generally been pretty healthy, I’ve definitely had a few bug invaders overtime just from having the window open, but I wanted to know if the amount of flowering it does is normal or not. It’s an indoor plant and always has been and I haven’t seen a ton of ZZ plants flower to the same degree as this. Currently it has 7 flowers that have bloomed and fallen. Is this too many? I’m not a plant expert at all, but I’ve seen discourse online that flowering can both be good and bad so I’m unsure which advice to take.

Beautiful beast. Incredible zz imo … keep doing what you are doing
.
Some people like to dead head and chop the flowers. As for me, I view it as the plant expressing its life force, its its full natural beauty so I let the flowers flower as much as the plant wants to .
Unless it’s sick, which it doesn’t appear or sound like it is, about the only harm would be a slowdown on leaf production if the flowers get fertilized & seeds start maturing.
Yes if she’s happy and healthy, she will pop them all out . She’s beautiful 🤩
Wow!
A truly gorgeous chonk of a ZZ 🥰
I have a raven ZZ and if it ever gets even CLOSE to this big, praise be. 🙌😍
Show us the whole plant it’s beautiful
Interesting that it’s only blooming in the back away from the light
What type of substrate are you using?
Ok, you are going to HAVE to tell us what you are doing right? What is it planted in, how much light and water and fertilizer are you giving ? My ZZ plants are still the same size they were when I got them 6 years ago. And I did not even know they can flower.
