  1. The area is looking so beautiful. Love the idea of an arbor at the entrance of other pathway. Maybe the same one you have on this side. Catching a glimpse of it as you walk down the path would draw you to the others side of the area. The hydrangea hedge in full bloom will be stunning❤

  2. I'm supposedly had hot rod grass for almost 5 years. And it has never colored up so i'm wondering if it was incorrectly labeled. I wish I could find it again somewhere and try again. Guess I'll just have to keep looking.

  3. I came across your channel while searching for planting vlogs. Who are you? Would you consider an introduction with every upload?I would like to share with others. You are a real gem.

  4. Love your show. I start every day with you and these plantings are beautiful. My son wants to know if you know what SNAFU means? Had to giggle.

  5. In the first year of my retirement from teaching middle school, I have enjoyed re-doing my yard using all of the MANY things I have learned from you over the years. Thanks for the inspiration! You taught me how to dig and store dahlias, which I have done with some success. This year, a drought led to the dahlias getting spider mites. Is there any reason not to dig and store them? Do mites do anything to the tubers, or just the foliage and flowers? Thanks!

  6. Liking this new arrangement so much better. Those sure fire hydrangeas are a perfect solution, and will add more structure to the meandering yews. Always disliked all the 'stuff' crammed under the crabapple tree. Glad its all getting moved out, while still covering the scruffy back side of the boxwood with those big hydrangeas. Very excited to see how it'll mature now! red twigs and evergreen? lovely way to finish off the design

  7. Laura, there are so many beautiful spaces throughout the season. I would love to see a seasonal calendar of beautiful photos of your garden . It would be a great fundraiser and also let us enjoy your garden in our own home month by month.

  8. I was leaning a little towards team Aaron regarding the Yews until you placed the Hydrangeas behind them. WOW! That made all the difference in the look of this area. I started following your videos in late 2019. It's hard to believe how quickly the entire property has transitioned in just a short time. Thank you for inspiring us.

  9. Good morning everyone 🌻!
Wow ‼️ Gorgeous!!!! I love it!!!
As you were talking about what you would like to bring in, I can already see it in my mind, ahh, beautiful 💜💕💜💕🤩🤩🤩
    Have a blessed day 🙏💕

  10. Looks amazing. Yes hydrangeas are kinda low maintenance. I have a bunch of them in my front flower beds because of you. Different kinds. The yews are cute and different. Love the arbor and the path finished. The trees look great and the clean up of the plants by the other tree looks nice also.
PS: I only have one problem 😂 that huge purple plant makes things look messy. I can’t think of its name. Sorry but that’s all I can see in that spot. Everything thing else looks so pretty.
Thanks again for sharing this with us. Appreciated. 💯💯💯🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

  11. Laura, what about Distylium? Wonderful evergreens..lots of sizes. I love you, but I’m starting to want more variety in your landscape..I understand you know more than me and there are those who would say “what” she has plenty of variety..and you do. I guess I’m wanting to see some of my favorites, just checking to see if they would grow for you! After all these years many of us who watch you, feel a friendship , where friends can can make comments and feel free to do so..

  12. The walkway makes a lovely entrance, but what use would it get, unless a visitor parks in the driveway at the end of the walk.?

  13. Pretty romantic look with the arbor, winding path, the birches, and hydrangeas. Once the yews really take, and fill out, they are really pretty with long branches that woUld sweep out and touch one another. The cuts should help them fill out more. Mine became more dense after the third year.

  14. perfection! just the tweak in the pathway opened up a whole new bank of ideas, and wow!! look at that!! i see Benjamin is tracking birds this day; hope he is still enjoying that! 🥰❤thanks for the video! 🥰❤

  15. I think you need to bulk up your grass and have 3 where you have one on each side of the grass. Think exclamation mark vs period.

  16. Hi Laura, if men can play with railway trains on tracks and remote cars, then we women can create fairy gardens and place fairies and lights in the pathways! Your entrance was already created with your new arbour! A dream stream with fish and a dream garden with fairies where your children can also play and let their imagination go wild! Enjoy your planting spree! 😊

  17. You seem to have a huge budget rip it out and start over. Saving dying plants is a waste. Crooked plants happen plant in front of it. jeesh plants do it's nature what plants do flow with it.

  18. Nice edit at 10:26 of the closeup of Laura digging the hole for the yew. As always, I like each music selection. Thank you for taking the extra time and effort to continue to make the GA videos so enjoyable.

  19. Hi! You used to use gypsum in your planting holes. Do you still ever include that and if not, why?
Thank you so much for teaching me to garden. My landscaping and garden has all been done DIY thanks to you.

  20. I loved this video, it had it all. Loved seeing Benjamin learning and you taking the time to teach something he will know for the rest of his life. I was a single Mom with a son, had no help or money. I'm 70 now, I see how you raise Benjamin and I know he will have a wonderful life because of the childhood you give him. He doesn't know it yet, but he will be amazing!

  21. Laura, maybe consider that arbor & gate from the driveway triangle garden for the front walkway. You said you wanted something more substantial. That could work. I know Aaron doesn’t like it but he might if it were repaired, cleaned up, & painted. Just a thought. I try always to reuse & recycle.

  22. Wow that whole space looks fantastic, I love all the plants, trees and the placement! I loved how Benjamin wanted to know how to fit the supply line back together, he'll be planting and digging and fixing right along with all of you soon. Both of your kids are growing up so fast! Jill

  23. Love the view of the auger digging into the dirt. So satisfying! Thank you for the auger asmr and for all you have brought to this community. 💖

  24. So beautiful wish I could do that! I’m currently moving my bobo’s to the fenced in area of our back yard and planting less deer appealing things in the front of the house. So far I am thrilled with the added pollinators and hummingbirds.

  25. I know Aaron hates the yews but I love them. Such a refreshing change from boxwood. I grow yews in solid full sun to full shade and they all do fantastic. For sure a plant it high and it won't die kind of plant. The whole area is shaping up great!

  26. Another evergreen will look so good in that space. With all the shades of green a blue evergreen would be a great addition

  27. Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine, Vanderwolf Pine,!!!!

  28. I absolutely love the hydrangeas along the path! Question: will their low splaying branches eventually harden more upright or will you just have to wait for more growth for a more full look! Beautiful transformation 🌱 ❤️
