The new plans for Piccadilly Gardens are set to be revealed in two weeks time
Councillor Pat Karney told BBC Radio Manchester that people will see the redesign in ‘two weeks’ and that the designs will bring back some of the features that “people liked in the old days”
The public have been clamouring for the area which has become blighted by crime and anti social behaviour to return to the days prior to 2002 Tadao Ando Commonwealth Games redesign when sunken flower beds dominated the area
Karney hinted that the new plans will include gardens
“A lot of time people say they want flowers and colour to come back.”
