How to Get the Pet Shard GiantBean in Grow a Garden
The Divine Pet Shard GiantBean gear is a limited-time item, since it’s a part of the Beanstalk event. There are two ways to get this pet shard, both of which require growing the Beanstalk first:
You can buy it from the Friendship tab of Goliath’s Goods after reaching level 5 Friendship. If you’re not sure how this works, check our guide on How to Increase Friendship With the Giant. You can craft it at the Beanstalk Workbench at the top of the Beanstalk. This will require 3 Beanstalk crops, 1 Cleansing Pet Shard, and 15,000,000 Sheckles.
If you’re still at the top of the Beanstalk when it disappears, you won’t fall, but you won’t be able to use the Goliath’s Goods shop. However, you can still interact with the workbench if you need to collect a completed recipe or start a new one.
What Does the Pet Shard GiantBean Do?
The Pet Shard GiantBean applies the Giant Bean mutation to any pet you use it on. This will override a mutation if your pet already has one. The benefit of this item is that you don’t have to get your pet to age 50 to use the Pet Mutations machine, where you have a chance to get any mutation.
The Giant Bean pet mutation also gives your pet a 15% faster hunger rate, but they gain additional experience per Beanstalk in your garden. This is a neat way to try and level up a pet quicker, especially if you’re hunting achievements. In addition to that new trait, your pet will turn green and significantly increase in size.
How to Use a Pet Shard GiantBean
Locate it in your backpack or on the hotbar at the bottom of the screen, then click or tap on a pet you want to use it on. Make sure you’re ready to use it and have your pet already in your garden. The last thing you want to do is use this gear item on the wrong pet since it’s a tough one to get.
