SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County invites residents to an exciting season with its 2025 fall lineup featuring environmental and agricultural education events. Residents will experience fun programs and explore various topics, including gardening, agriculture, youth activities, and more.

Online Native Plant Sale
Order before pick-up day on Saturday, Sept. 6. Fall is a great time to get started on native plant gardening and give them a head start next year. Become A Master Gardener in Middlesex County
Master Gardener Program Orientation Sessions, Wednesday, Sept. 10, 10 am or Thursday, Sept. 11, 6:30 p.m. Join a virtual information session on this upcoming volunteer training program. Morning or evening classes are available. Classes will start Wed., Sept. 17 at 9:30 a.m. or Thurs., Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Participants are required to attend an orientation to enroll in the program. go.rutgers.edu/iyvbcmov
Harvesting and Preserving Your Garden Herbs
Timing and technique are the keys to maximizing the harvest from your herb garden. Learn about the best times and the best methods to harvest leaves, flowers, seeds and roots and how to preserve them for future use. Wednesday, Sept. 24 6:30 p.m.
Native Plant Donations for Community Groups
Is your organization involved with a native plant garden or wildlife habitat? Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County will provide a one-time donation of native flowering perennials to local organizations such as libraries, schools, or other public spaces that support habitat.
