The Badenoch Gardening Club held its annual show on Saturday in Newtonmore in new surroundings.
Club president Sue Thomas said: “We were very grateful to St. Bride’s Church for welcoming us to use the church for the show while the village hall is undergoing renovations.
“The church proved a popular venue with many people commenting on how bright and airy it was and complimenting the extensive array of exhibits.
“As well as flowers, baking, jams, and potted plants there were scarecrows and miniature gardens made by the children.
“There was also a sales table to buy plants and a chance for a sit down with a cuppa and sample home-baking.”
The club welcomes members from across the strath there were exhibitors from as far away as Grantown and Nethy Bridge.
Peter Fitch and David Sharp travelled from Llanbryde to judge the vegetable and flower sections while Lydie Boquillon and Yvonne Dziennik, both from Kingussie, cast their expert eye over the baking and preserves.
Jean Noble and Jeff Simpson, of Newtonmore judged the arts and crafts and beverages.
Ms Thomas said: “We are very fortunate to have such expertise available.
A lot of organisation goes on behind the scenes and we are grateful for all the support that was volunteered and to all those people who put in exhibits to make the show such a success.”

Trophy winners – Evelyn Littlejohn Trophy for best in section A (vegetables): Karen Grace (Sturon onions). Enid Furness Trophy for best sweet pea: Allan Irvine, who also won the Badenoch Gardening Club Trophy for best cut flower.
Barclay Trophy for best rose: Lynne Munro, who also took the rosette for best in section L (baking) for her vegan chocolate cake.
Jen Douglas had a strong showing with her potted plants, winning the Badenoch Gardening Club Trophy for best in section C with her cactus; the Hutchison Bros Trophy for best flowering pot plant with an orchid, and the Betty Murray Trophy for best club plant with her geranium.
The Jean Burnard Trophy for best foliage pot plant was awarded to Julie Spittle for her ficus.
In floral art, the Sutherland Cup went to Laura Pierce for her arrangement ‘Ruby Anniversary’ and she also claimed the Archie Peebles Trophy for best fuchsia and the Iain MacDonald Trophy for best container.
The Marielle Barclay Picture for best entry in preserves and sweets was won by Karen Grace for her plum and apple chutney.
She also collected the Stuart Sim Cup for most points in Section A (25 points); the Jeanette MacDonald Shield for most points in preserves and sweets (22 points), and a rosette for best in Section M (beverages) with a bottle of raspberry cordial.
The Green Gardener Trophy for most points in section A (vegetables) was awarded to Emily Alder with 13 points. This trophy is awarded to someone who has not won a trophy previously.,
The Buchanan Trophy for most points in section B (cut flowers) went to Beth Alder with 18 points.
The Iain MacDonald Cup for most points by a young gardener was won by Graeson Dunn with 8 points.
In baking, the Balgonie Dairy Cup for most points in section L (baking) was awarded to Sue Thomas with 15 points while Catherine Downie won a rosette for most points in section M (beverages) with 9 points.
