  1. Such a great video – it has not been a productive day if you havenโ€™t been hurt ๐Ÿ˜น jokes aside, it is such an inspiration to see how much youโ€™ve got done in only 7 hours after neglecting the space for months. That would amount to only a couple of minutes per day, wow!

  2. I pulled out all our giant cosmos trees yesterday. None of it flowered. Just sucked up vast amounts of the aquifer beneath our desertificated garden beds! ๐Ÿ˜‚

  3. I see the bidens pilosa is very similar to the one in Vietnam, it is delicious and can cure diseases.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

  4. This is my annual tradition! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Yesterday, I harvested all of my underripe tomatoes to rescue them from a stink bug invasion and the fall hungry ground hog visit. He's rather particular and takes 1 sample bit before tossing the rest of the fruit. I'll cut off the tomato plants at ground level to minimize soil disruption. Only leaving in the beans, potatoes, parsnips, carrots, beets, chard, zucchini, and delicata squash. Since we have a long time before spring arrives, the compost will be fresh bunny manure and hay bedding. Our plants that received partially composted maunure and hay as top dressing were exploding with growth. Great weed suppression, too. Cheers from Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ.

  5. you call your kitchen garden a tiny confined space ? you havenโ€™t seen mine yet ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ my entire garden is 13×5,5 meters minus the space the shed takes off of it

  6. This was a great blog. I loved watching it change. I loved watching you do all that work, it made me want to go out to mine and start ripping up my dead squash so thank you for that. Although it will be too cold here in Western New York, USA very soon. There will be no direct sowing here, but it's time to get ready for next year.

  7. Hi huw it's been along time since I commented last life has it's challenges but I reckon this could be my all time favorite video from you it's relaxing asmr esk and just purly enjoyable and with life throwing everything at me from my nan dying and my mums arm more and more stuff you helped me relax abit and releave stress so thank you โค

  8. Your leek bulbs will grow new leeks, whenever I find them I immediately replant them. I find theyโ€™re much more hardy than ones grown by seed, although I grow both. Zone 8 in USA, we donโ€™t get super cold weather – Iโ€™ve got leeks all year.

  9. Ooh no! All that fennel seed lost! And nobody โ€œtrainsโ€ blackberries, they annihilate them!! Many channels making millions by recording bramble removal with extremely violent equipment, lol. Love a tidy-up though. Time lapse of the rip-out over detailed explanation of the rip-out would be better.

  10. Reminds me Robert Burns tale of the best laid plans of mice and men! ๐Ÿ˜€ One of my best laid plans was to plant Amaranth as a trap plant for the cucumber beetle. It worked perfectly! Well, perfectly until this fall when I had to spend half an afternoon cleaning out the Amaranth plants gone wild! ๐Ÿ˜€

  11. Great reset and a video on chosing what ro sacrafice.. careful or you'll be joining sausage fingers in the eugenics camp

  12. Assuming that was a lot of tree spinach you pulled? I was thinking about planting it but looks like it spreads quickly!

  13. Decluttering for the garden – very satisfying to watch! Love the tip about giving plants more light now the days are getting shorter, makes total sense but had never occured to me before.

  14. I love the reality of thisโ€ฆ I have an area in my perennial beds that is looking like this. Need to tackle it before everything goes to seed! ๐Ÿ˜† Thanks for the inspiration.

  15. I can't wait for the day my plot is so full I can compost and trim to that extent โค really nice video to watch

  16. I LOVE clearing a garden…it was so much fun (and motivating) to watch you clear out the beds. We are still in a heatwave so hope to be clearing shortly.

  17. Totally relate to your feelings about compost and clearing spaces . Thanks for a very enjoyable video . Iโ€™m on the other side of the world getting ready for spring ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฟ

  18. Is your borage smooth or do you just have leather hands? I feel like my borage is way to prickly to handle without gloves

  19. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ itโ€™s a jungle out there but what a great source for the compost ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘, Ali ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

  20. Great to see a new video from you! I've been watching Dyfi Plants, but this is just great ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  21. This is how my garden feels this year so this has been one of the most helpful gardens to see all you cut out as well and what hasn't worked out! Thank you…

  22. Loved the video. It was amazing to see the grown out versions of everything. Perhaps in future you could just name every plant as you take them out. Also show the seed of any plants that are edible like the fennel seed.

Also maybe you could use your drone to show where you are in the garden as you go about the clean up.
