I was gifted this AV a few years ago and we’ve had our ups and downs, but it was doing fine for the most part. But last summer I left for a few months and I left this under the care of someone else and I came back to this tiny thing. I repotted to this MUCH smaller pot and used AV specific soil. I’m also bottom watering and trying to control how much sun it’s getting but still the growth is small and the leaves are a bit droopy. Any advice is appreciated, I’d really love to keep this plant alive

Personally, I’d take that bigger leaf on the left, and propagate it. It appears that the most recent leaf looks a little rotten from this picture. If it’s just the shadows, try planting in a smaller container. Maybe a 2” pot. Your soil could use a lot more perlite, like 50% more. AV’s like that. I also really like water wicking, with plastic pots, and acrylic yarn. There are lots of options on line. I haven’t had much luck with Terra cotta pots, myself. Good luck!

Also, if the center leaves are doing ok, also try repotting, and then putting in a ziploc bag, to create a kind of greenhouse effect.

Everything the Shieldor said, but any sunlight? Way to wet as well. Terra Cotta holds water. Read about it. Best of luck. Keep trying as well. 🪴🌱🪴🫶🏼
