Have You Heard Of A Midget Duster?? – A Closer Look At A Vintage Japanese Gardening Tool! #MidgetDuster #Gardening #FlowerDuster #Tool #MadeInJapan #RollinOn #RollinOnAdventures
In this video, we take a look at a vintage flower duster made by J&P. I’ve always been fascinated with the level of care and attention to detail that went into these old tools. Beautiful aluminum castings, fine machining, big brass bushings, tight tolerances, and made to last. I thought it would be neat to take this apart and have a look inside with you guys. Let me know what you think in the comments, and thanks for watching!

Cool!!
I’ve never seen one either!
Very cool
Think they were made for anybody under 4 feet tall.😂😂
It was not designed to spread seed.
This was used to spread a lot of pesticides that were a very light powder or "dust."
One of the most popular that is still around is "Seven Dust."
The issue was that when you sprayed the 'dust' you also tended to breathe in the insecticide.
I used to use an electric duster to spread insecticide in attics.
If the attic access was in the middle of a home I could dust the entire attic in 3-5 seconds and just stand in the access.
Anyway, the adjustment is to control the flow rate of the powder.
That would be considered a high end product and not that common. There were other duster designs that were much cheaper and more common.
However, all dustrs were designed to simply aerosolize a powder and suspended in the air.
Which, by it's very nature, is extremely dangerous.
That is a wonderful device to spread finely milled asbestos fibers! great vid
They prefer to be called "little people dusters" these days.
Yeah He couldn't reach the top of the mantle so I had to let him go.
My dad bought a machine that sprayed acoustic on ceilings and a wall texture machine. When people wanted their ceilings sprayed with acoustic, he also gave them the option to spray either gold or silver glitter on the ceiling with the acoustic sprayed on first. That little blower contraption is the exact tool we used to spray little on the wet acoustic ceiling.
I hope you put it back together.
Rollinon, please tell us why anyone would find the need to operate a bottle jack upside down!😮
