My girlfriend's pride and joy. She had it since it was still a baby plant. Now she's worried about it looking a bit sad and leggy. Is it possible to chop and prop the stem in the middle and have both parts survive? Also as soon as the leaves on the bottom touch the table, the leaves turn brown / yellow and die off. Is that normal?

We water as needed and it's near a west facing window. (Took it outside only for the photo)

  1. Hi. I’ve been propagating these all summer and have found them to easily root from cuttings placed in water for 2-3 weeks. I’ve had success with individual leaves as well as chunks of stems. That said, this fella looks like it could use a larger pot and a drink.
