The Cyclonic Mutation was added to Grow a Garden on August 23, 2025, as part of the Beanstalk Update expansion. It’s a mutation that’s tied to a pet ability, so here’s everything you need to know about this mutation. Such as how to get it and what it does!
How to Get the Cyclonic Mutation in Grow a Garden
The only way to get the Cyclonic Mutation is by having a Griffin pet in your garden since you’ll need its ability. Every 15 minutes, it flaunts its wings, releasing a cyclone that has a 10% chance to apply the Cyclonic Mutation to plants hit by it. This chance will vary slightly depending on the age of your pet.
While that 10% chance of applying it can be annoying, it’s even tougher to get a Griffin pet from a Skyroot Chest. Since it’s a Divine pet, you’ll need to hit that 1% chance to get one.
What Does the Cyclonic Mutation Do?
Like all mutations, Cyclonic adds a value multiplier to your crops. This increases the profits of your fruit by x50. Which makes it a solid mutation to regularly get if you already have a Griffin.
Did you know that you can combine the Tempestuous and Cyclonic Mutations to make an even more valuable one? Putting both of these on one plant makes the Maelstrom Mutation.
